RSC Private Server Coming!

I don't know why this hasn't been started yet, but all of you people are going about this wrong and just wanting to have legal action come your way.

So I will be taking it on myself and maybe with the help of a highschool friend to rewrite RSC from the ground up using no code or assets from the original game. That means that the game will be RSC but there won't be any worries about it being taken down for infringement on Jagex's IPs because I won't be using any of their shit.

Also, just so it's known, I'm not keeping all the skills the same. Combat will be the only thing that is exactly the same as RSC and will be the main focus along with recreating the landscape. The "secondary" skills like smithing, cooking, fishing, and herblore will be handled differently in this remake. IE smithing will be done minecraft style in a 4x4 square box and involve both bars and wood pieces to make items. Cooking will be done the same way but when you click a range you put in a piece of wood or coal to start the fire.

It will be a while before you see this come to light, but once lumby is done and combat is finished I will release a prealpha version.

So.. your making a server.. with minecraft and rsc combined? You know there are level mods on minecraft, right? Just do that.

 

The mix from minecraft will be just to spice up the boring old skills. This will be a remake purely for the pking aspect of the game and bosses. This is also being made from the ground up to as closely stick to RSC's graphical style and combat system but rewritten without any code or assets from it, so no legal issues should arise because it will be all work done by me so the community can stay together and not have to worry about the servers being taken down.

 

any place for mods/admins? ... i'm available i was a mod on rscangel also very trusted on emulation
