Party hats 4/20

Has anyone seen what hats have dOne today. Dropped so much then risen sharply like 40m each. What is causing the market to do this?

As you may not know, Jagex has further merched flipping. When Partyhats rose or crash, there was never this much panic. Now you cannot buy a partyhat, then sell it and rebuy it again, you'll have to wait for 4 hours in order to buy another one.

People now thinks it's a better investment, and faster, to invest in other things.

 

Since people can't flip party hats (or other rares?), they sell them off to flip other things? What's wrong with trading them like the old days, via world 2 and forums?

 

Flipping partyhats is hard now. With the profit margin being 1-2M in 4 hours. Not to mention now that it's extremely unstable. And trading them like the old days isn't an option.

You see people paying under 20M less than what you can sell it for in the G.E. You see others selling it for 20M more than what you can buy it for in the G.E.

Friend Chat "R Quark" updates you with the prices. So if something is X price, no one would pay anywhere close to what you're looking for, to flip. They all know the exact buy and sell prices.

Other things are more profitable, and it's almost guaranteed if you stock early for BXPW.

Anyone know what yellows are at right now?

Two days ago they were 1017. Yesterday they hit lows off 940 and were at 970 when I went to bed. Will check this morning soon. I brought a few hats as I think they must rise pretty soon again. Had to pay 975 for my yellow.

 

And then to think I only have 100m.. I still feel poor :[.

 

Been playin for 6+ years here, never had more than 84m at one time. RS blows. you cant make ANY good RSGP unless you buy it or no life it.

Prices are drop and rise. Party hats were that high at the moment because people were merchanting them.
Once that ends, the prices are dropping because they want to get rid of them.

In the end the prices will rise again, but maybe not to what it once was if they never switch the update.

alot more people are buying Phat's for street price and use them for duelling etc, and people can easily make bank from staking one phat. So they are in high demand and the GE Update has had to cope with it.

 

they are going down in price. High demand would not make the price fall.

 

Makes me feel sad that even after years of playing runescape, I still cannot afford a partyhat, although I much rather dump my cash into skills than a stupid hat that gives nothing but bragging rights.

 

stay on topic, i have every skill at 99 that you can buy. nothing left to get.
