so those who were scammed by the hacked users; do the owners of the hacked accounts have to pay back those scammed? how is that going to work

 

Recent revelations could actually point to the "database leak" not being responsible for the recent MSN hackings - which actually explains the fact that many of the MSN's affected didn't have the same password as the member's Sythe account.

A huge exploit within hotmail/MSN has resulted in many hackings, which makes this a completely different deal altogether

 

Tough situation then.

I guess it's still a pickle of a situation, but it does at least potentially clear Sythe.org of having any relation to the MSN hackings. We have a responsibility as a staff team to react and do our best to resolve the situation as well as deal with any scams/losses, but it's likely that we are not responsible for the compromised emails.
