Next bot nuke?

is there a Bot Nuke in the future?

 

At some point, yes there will be. Although we don't have an exact date yet, we do know it's very soon.

 

Can I ask how you know that it will be very soon? I don't think we can actually predict one coming..

 

Jagex + The Player Mods have stated that the next one is on the way very shortly.

What exactly do they do to Runescape that "nukes" bots?

They change the game so bots won't work any more. Their last one knocked out quite a few bots but Simba and RiD is still around, apparently the next nuke will apparently destroy all the bots, however I don't think they will be able to 100% remove all bots from the game, there will always be some bots that work.

It's called Optimus. It's designed to take out the remaining bots left by the "2%". Obviously simba/scar won't be affected if anything a little because they are color and unless jagex changes colors differently.. well then I'd personally laugh my ass off at pink torva... It's too much for them.. it's probably another lawsuit thing as before. Don't worry it's just a fps nuke

 

Jagex stated on the Runescape forums under the General Forum under the Q & A's that the bot nuke will happen before summer.

 

I dont get why they hate bots because it gets them more money for people pay for Membership and playing more. Isnt that what a business trying to make money. tell them that!

 

Because regular players hate them. If you are botting just for money ,you obviously do not play game ,so you do now know how negative effect it has . Training spots are overcrowed , prices of items are failling ,so normal players are angry ,because they report bots and nothing happens to them ,so they do not see it fair.

And Jagex as been said do not like bots,because most of membership on bots are paid with stolen cc ,which is problem for Jagex.

 

I've honestly never heard this as an argument, and chances are they aren't. The majority of botters are Chinese goldfarmers and they're not going to risk their business using stolen credit cards.


The truth is we only know what they have told us and what Jacmob has said on RSBuddy, nothing further.

 

I've heard the argument. Also heard Jagex doesn't like botters because the bot clients negate the ad revenue that jagex would be getting from normal players

 

but it is a good argument tho.

I'm personally waiting for the bot nuke and if bots really do get 100% eliminated then I for sure will be staying at all my current levels. I don't bot to make money, I bot to make levels and then I'll go make money on my own. As till the bot nuke, I'll be botting my range tank/main as much as possible before the nuke comes.
