breaking into the RS market

im looking for some tips and ideas on how to break into the RS market here on sythe, im not looking to get big, just a medium size seller and trader in order to get enough money to pay for a new computer. :laugh: any tips on what i should bot and sell weather it'd be items or the price i should sell my gold for to if i should be using a OMM for all my trades etc.

i know it seems im asling for alot and maybe i am but bits and pieces help more than no information

Firstly, without trying to sound like a troll, using slightly better grammar is a good first step; it looks slightly more professional and mature.

Secondly, starting with small sales, and working your way up. This will gain vouches and with it trust from the Sythe community.

As for what to sell/how much to sell for - the only advice I can give is flicking through current sellers' posts and threads and find out how they run things.

I'm sure there'll be some more helpful tips out there - those are just a few I can offer.

You can open a quest or skills service here on sythe.

Can get you some good money.

 

Most of the above have touched on it, but yeah you need to start off small, begin to run services e.g. fire capes, questing or skilling, slowly gain vouches and then you kick off from there.

yep start with small trades, no one will do big deals with a new member, gain couches, show of your support to the community, be active and helpfull

 

Thats right gain couches, lots of them.

But if you serious about it you should focus on building trust, some people offer services for free and hope to receive vouches. Or you could do a bunch of small trades with well known legit people and or use OMM. Watch who you trade with, lots of skemmers. GL

 

I would highly recommend getting familiar with Sythe as a website & as a community first before you do anything else. Read the rules and make sure you understand them completely. Then I would check out the market section and read some guides & informative stickies in that section to familiarize yourself with different types of trading procedures, how to safe safe & document your transactions (everything should be filmed or screenshotted, and then neatly organized in a file folder somewhere on your computer).

Learn what kinds of scams are common and how to avoid them, and all the things you can do to stay safe and protect yourself. Also, learn the different ranks around Sythe, and learn how to use your discretion to decided who is trustworthy and who is not. Things such as a fancy UI & signature, high post count, early join date etc. mean absolutely nothing when terms with a level of trust.

Lastly, you should begin trading with other users and become immersed in the community. Meet people, make friends, try to help people out where you can, and explore the site and try to get involved in whatever interests you, and get your foot in the door to the markets you are interested in.

Building a reputation for yourself and gaining trust doesn't happen over night. It takes time and effort, but it will happen sooner than you think if you remain active and helpful within the community. There are lots of people here willing to help you learn the ropes, and there are tons and tons of great guides and/or informative posts that will help you learn everything you need to know.

As mentioned above, people who run skilling/questing services can make good profits. After you earn enough vouches to be trusted creating a service can yield great benefits. Also, becoming good at doing the first fight caves/kilns can earn you MASSIVE profits. (25m+ each)
