AMD is not better for anything. They also said that they give up on comupters CPU and started with mobile CPU´s

 

I agree it's not better but I think Tux means that the amd server in the $250 price range a month (seems like a standard price for botting servers) will rape the intel at the same price when it comes to botting. But that's about the only amd chip that can compete.

Also one thing to think of is difference in price. For the same price of a i7 2600k build I can build 2 amd computers. A stock i7 2600k will only run 2 more soduku simbas than a $100 amd phenon ii x4 955 be. But an i7 2600k overclocked to 4.5 will run 4 more than a 955 be. I would still choose the overclocked i7 over 2 amds because of power in the long run. Even though the 2 amds together will run about 2 more bots then the overclocked i7. All of this is fact from my own personal experience the past few weeks using a 955 be and i7 2600k.

 

I don't understand why people hassle to rent servers when you can e.g buy a 8 x 2.5 Ghz 24m l2 cache 8gb ram server for 300€?
