Is RS getting too easy?

I think this has been a problem for a while, Jagex are making this game easier and easier to get experience - Undermining the hard work of some of the players at the top of the hiscores.

The Wheel of Fortune.....
The bonuses for completing activities early...
Tool-belt
Money Pouch
Ability for everyone to use keys in while dungeoneering.

The list goes on...

What do you think? Are these changes (And more) better? Worse?

 

Some changes are good, some are shitty. Imo that wheel of fortune can be deleted because barely no1 has gotten anything from it.

Tool belt is great.
Money pouch is useless.
That dungeoneering change is great aswell.

Hope jagex wont ruin the game by doing such a stupid changes on the game like "wheel of fortune"

 

The only flaw I've noticed that was major lately is the SoF... The selling spins was too far. Everything else I'm ok with. Besides possibly the 2 week free trial..

 

it's like with WoW, the game came out years ago, all players played it till the end, as far as i know WoW now have the function where you can directly boost to a high lvl, the companies needs more money, with all ways...

Yes, RS is getting way to easy.
Before it was so much better, harder but more fun.
Now days you can buy your xp up with those wheels.

 

ya but honestly if someone is gonna pay $1000s for stats then they are probably gonna just buy an acc, which is the same thing.

Also guys u said that jagex RWTs but you do realize that you RWT even without jagexs help right?

 

I Think they just went to far when the starting selling spins of SoF I mean it pretty much breaks their own rule of RWT?

 

all of them are fine, except for the buyable xp.

 

I feel the game is getting much easier, even look at older updates like Ivy cutting turning 99 woodcutting from a respectable skill into the new 99 cooking.
I think that all these updates that make the game easy (the ones you listed in the OP) are so veteran players stay around and don't quit while runescape rapidly just turns into shit.

 

Money pouch shouldn't even be in discussion when it comes to ease lol.

Lol I came in to say lodestones. I think they are a good idea but zero requirements is a joke, they should of incorporated them into the hard tasks or something.

 

yup the game is to easy now. they even got that 10% bonus xp with the RaF.

 

I don't really mind the updates making exp easier except for the SoF updates. I hate to waste time training skills for so much quest just to pk. Shit because pking is the only fun part of rs imo.

 

Runescape is definitely far easier than it used to be. I remember back when 99 skills were actually quite hard to achieve, and very respectable. Nowadays they are extremely common, and not nearly as rare or special as once before.

Runescape unfortunately has a very large "grind" component built in to the training system - a system based on performing repetitive tasks repeatedly in order to gain small amounts of XP. Players have complained about this for ages, and so I think Jagex has tried to accomodate some of the player requests by making training options more diverse, and providing more bonus experience rewards and activities. It is nice in a way, I definitely enjoy the ease of training most skills these days. But yes, RS has become much easier than it used to be.

 

It's just going to keep getting easier and easier as Jagex attempts to 'combat the grind aspect of RS'.

You can thank the people that depend on bots for that.

 

I remember 3-4 years ago i had 2 99 skills which were thieving, and herbalore which both took me a respectable amount of time and money.

that was on my first account

i then made my second within a year had 10+ 99s

 

In the areas where the game has become 'easier' I would have to say the game has also become more fun than it was. To call it ''too easy'' is far out.

 

Squeel of fortune and botting make things pretty easy :/
