Top gold sellers annual/monthly income

I was viewing the "2011 Gold Trader Power Rankings" thread http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1374351 , and I was very amazed by the numbers that these traders pulled off. I'm not really looking for exact figures from these individuals, but if you could give us a rough estimate on your income from gold trading alone(pure profit), it would be awesome. I'm sure a lot of people would love to be amazed by your accomplishments.

There's no way I personally will let out my personal income history.

I've chatted with the other traders as well, and their pretty secretive about it. It's a very personal thing.

i mean if u look at viou, buying $1.6 million dollars of gold must be he bought it at .5-.6 and sold for at least .7-.-8, should do the math / taxes then thats minimum what he gets

Viou had a 15-20% Max profit margin on his gp. Therefore, with purchases of $1.6 Million, you're looking at $240,000-360,000 pre-tax.

 

Count in wipes, bans, disputes, chargebacks, etc.

 

Also don't forget, GP crashed a bunch this year, so he probably lost some there too.

 

I'd estimate a 15% margin after all those things mentioned by Punker, on Viou's trades.

 

Not worth investing the time into in order to become a bulk buyer/seller with the game's future unknown. Jagex might start selling gold tomorrow, never know.

Might be better to focus on a career.

 

Not hard to find new games. There are much bigger RWT markets out there.

 

I mean wipes are more common, so its hard for RSGP sellers to stock up big and have peace of mind on their stock.

Yes, but if you take into account his trades in early 2011, when the profit margins were insane, I'm pretty sure everything averages out to around 15%.

 

I'd like to know this as well. RS has a large market because it's more like a sandbox MMO, than a themepark MMO. The economy is player-run. In games like WoW, RIFT, the new Star Wars, and etc... all these themepark MMOs the currency is nearly useless, since you get literally everything through questing to max level, and then raiding from there if you can stand doing that.
