new planet of the apes movie

anyone seen, what is it like?

 

It's okay. I didn't think it was anything special really. The whole story seemed kind of pointless. It's just about a bunch of monkeys wanting to be free. I was expecting more of a monkey apocalypse type film lol.

 

The sequel is going to be more focused on that. This movie was to set the scene and begin the history of all the other films.

 

lol thanks, I wasn't going to see it just for the storyline anyway (no surprises it will be about super monkeys attacking us) but the CGI I heard is really good on it.

 

Its really interesting and answers a lot of questions that were previously left bland by the prequels. Id suggest watching the older movies before watching that one though, It builds up to more of a surprise and keeps you wondering.

Overall its a 8/10 IMO

 

I didn't really like it that much only like 6/10 if that.

 

I liked it for the most part. A few parts that were rather plain, and not too much excitiment throughout the film.. overall 6-7/10

 

I didn't even think about a sequel. I guess in that case, the story wasn't as bad as I thought. The acting was mediocre though, which was a bit of a disappointment.

Yeah the CGI was nice. It's not a bad film and it's at least worth a watch. Just don't expect to be too impressed. It's not really about monkeys attacking us, but more of them just trying to escape from civilization.

 

Great movie IMO
