Windows OS Or Linux/CentOS - VPS botting

Which is better to run / and spec for running 10 + bots

Windows.

Linux is a pain to install some bots and as I know, you have less power.
I've always been using Windows for botting and it works like a charm, a lot more power in there.

 

They only run windows sever 2008 r2 correct ? How many bots on will this run ?

What bot are you running? As in Simba/Scar (Aka Colour Bots) or Powerbot/RareBot/EpicBot?

Also, I've always found using Linux is better, because when you use Linux, you get to save a little bit of RAM/Processing Power than you do compared to running a version of Windows.

I ran CentOS 5 and was able to get Simba, Rarebot, Epicbot and Powerbot all up and running using a piece of Software named WINE, which allowed windows programs to run in Linux through a sort of compatibility mode.

 

I'm not sure if this is still true but:

Linux can run for days and days and days

Windows... not too sure

 

I have both linux and windows, and I can tell you windows is much better. Powerful and won't crash on you.

 

I used linux when I was botting and unfortunately it did crash quite often (the bot clients).
