So I know we have had enough controversy about the bumping rule but I just want to know what is now considered an unnecessary post in the market. At times I will be cruising threads and I will see posts in shop threads and I will see posts like "Nice doing business" or "Open and selling", are these still considered spam? Especially if it is around 4 hours after the last customer had posted. So any mods or anyone want to weigh in?
i think you can say like thanks for the trade or stuff like that but only within like 10 minutes after they have posted or something like that but dont quote me on it, thats what ive been doing anyway
Something like this: http://www.sythe.org/showpost.php?p=...postcount=7580 The customer to which he is referring to had posted 4 hours earlier, almost exactly 4 hours actually. Thanks for fixing it SuF.
my opinion (not that it counts or anything) is that if its a useless post then its spam. if its in response to a post from someone offering to buy what ever your selling and you respond i view that as fine. i often times go through all the account selling threads in the runescape market and report the bump spammers. just my view on it so idk what everyone else thinks.
I agree 100% if the post is made in a reasonable time, but no longer than 30 minutes after they posted your vouch. I know people get busy but 30 minutes is plenty of time to type out a 5 second message and click submit.
If it's posted before eight hours and it's unnecessary, report the post. We have the PM system for a reason, "Thanks, Online and Selling, Added, etc." aren't compulsory posts. But, if he is legitimately responding to the customer, then that is okay.
Post twice IN A ROW within 8 hours and infraction. Short spammy post like "added" = infraction. Respond to a genuine concern from a customer and no infraction. We want to keep this simple so people will be infracted for spam.
