Best Screen Recording Software? (Free)

I personally like camtasia for picture quality; can always go with the standard hypercam though

 

Use My Screen Recorder to record PC desktop activity with sound. It captures your PC desktop activity into standard WMV or AVI video files.

 

I've always found FRAPS to be the best for me.

 

I personally use HyperCam and I've never had one problem with it, simple and easy to use.
Never had a problem uploading things to youtube from it either.

I should really look up camstudio though.

Hypercam FTW

 

Fraps is the best out there and there are ways to get it free. Sad thing is I actually still use hypercam for recording every now and then XD For some reason the watermark is gone and the quality isn't half bad. Still, you should stick with fraps.
Also I tried working with camtasia but it never seemed to work for me. Might just be that I'm an idiot sometimes but you never know.

 

Bandicam is decent, most people bash hypercam, but you can tweak the settings on it to make the quality presentable.
