what a joke...

this site is becoming scam central with the amount of people impersonating actual traders with good feedback and stuff im quite drunk now but i spoke to the legit trader and he said he never contacted me this forum is becoming the easiest way of scamming people and either taking other peoples accounts or taking there gold i fell for it once and lost my gold but got it back luckily for me.

The people with high vouches etc need to watch out because ive dealt with over 6 customers claiming to be people there not its a fucking joke and sickens me i want to get rid of my account and buy a house but theres some cunts out there trying to take my account from me.

i bet they would think twice to take my account if they seen me in RL because i would fucking destroy the like sof "ethan kerr" and "revolight" imposters in a second. good luck with this shit site if you cant maintain legit from scammers than its a fucking joke good luck....

 

The real joke is that people aren't catching on and taking the right precautions to stay safe. It's a market, there will be scammers, get over it because it happens everywhere.

Don't come and play victim because it's a song we've all heard too many times before. Just trade/exchange things correctly, and this won't happen.

 

All it takes is one PM to verify that you're trading with the right person... The real joke is how mad some people get over something so easily preventable.

 

It's your own fault, you didn't want to take the right precautions to avoid getting scammed, you have no one but yourself to blame for being lazy.

It's not hard to know how to trade safe. Request a PM, check the email, use a MM if you're unsure. We do our best to catch and ban scammers/ban evaders as best as we can, but ultimately it's up to you to use cation during your trades.

 

Even I know about imposters. Laptop gave me the basics and I took it upon myself to read the stickies, read guides etc and they've helped me a lot.

 

The problem is that you have no idea how to trade safely.

You come to a site thinking everything is safe, then you are dumbfounded when you get scammed.

Read the stickies, read the rules, learn how to staff safe. Finally, stop bitching.

Last but not least, good luck purchasing a house with the income from selling your Runescape account.

 

Happens everywhere man. It's up to you to make sure you don't get scammed. Look for the signs of social engineering and if you have a gut feeling something is up, it's best to follow it. Most of us has been scammed on here but when we first joined, I am for sure that we had no idea how the black market system work. The thing is most people that are actually new have no idea how to trade safe and go ahead and trust anybody for the matter.
Because of this, scammers lurk here often due to bad trading habits. There are a TON of threads everywhere from the guides section to market for the best safe trading. Also, there are middleman services available from paid to free that are guaranteed to give you a smooth trade.
Also one more thing. If someone declines to use a OMM and tells you still to go first, don't trade them unless they are personally trusted from the Sythe community.

 

I dont think there are this many scammers

 

There are quite a few of them, but people like to believe that Sythe is harboring thieves on the forum and that the internet scammer population is limited only to Sythe.org (O wait).

 

you have to read the stickies...they tell you how to trade safely, it's that simple just read them and learn them!!

 

sorry i wrote this kinda drunk last night and was abit pissed i fell for it shame on me i guess ive had quite a few people adding me to try scam me it gets funny once you know what to expect now

 

Regarding the impostor scam: It's by large one or two users (located in Norway) that are conducting the majority of the impostor schemes. It's annoying, but most people here are legit.

I agree, first time I got scammed on here was due to someone impersonating a legit trader. I don't usually get scammed, so I take it as a new lesson, I'm not too mad about it, but should stop.

 

Heck, someone's not happy. Suck it up and go again mate. You just said you got your money back mate, live and learn.

 

yeah i did but not when i wrote this 50k isnt much to me i cna make that in 1-2 days was the majority of that wanker who managed to fool me thats all

There are many ways to prevent scams and I am sure we will all be wiser as we spend more time on Sythe.
