Has jagex commented on the SOF?

Jagex may be a company but they are a video game company and they rely on fans to make sure they continue making money. RuneScape isn't something you have to have like food, so they're a luxury. If they oppose their fans then they will lose their fan base and have to try to make up money somewhere else. If they don't listen they'll go out of business.

It's cause for some reason Jagex though it'd be a good idea to nuke half their players... which meant they lost money exponentially the following weeks. Now they make a LOT less than they used to, and since it's obvious that the per-pubescent teenage boys who play this game can't go five minutes without gambling their money away, Jagex figured it'd be a great idea to let them gamble with real-life money -- using their parent's credit cards that are already linked to the account!

Not a bad idea, actually. Regardless, here's to hoping Runescape has a drawn-out, painful end directly resulting from Jagex's own actions. Cheers!

 

I feel the situation as it stand is fairly bullshit. I swear, If I get banned for rwt in the future, I'm going to call them out on the spins.
This doesn't suprise me though, seeing as Jagex doesn't care much for their players. The wilderness and trade updates in 2007 really showed that.
Scumbag Jagex:
Tells you not to buy things with real money or you get banned,
Sells gambling points for ridiculous amounts of money

I for sure know I'm not the only one that thinks that.

 

I'll call them out on being hypocrites and doing a U-turn on RWT, which has defined their company for the past 5 years.

 

There has been frequent posts by a Jagex mod on the forums attempting to get a rather odd point across. He pretty much said that:

-Rules are for players
-This isn't gambling because you always win an item regardless of what you get.
-This isn't RWT because it's a trusted company.
-There is going to be a big announcement, perhaps on twitter tomorrow(2 days ago)

 

alright! it is so obvious people. Jagex knows that people aka the older runescape base and those who know of google search for runescape gold. jagex wants you to give them the money for the gold in a way that I find rather annoying. they give 120k players 50gp and wastes a bunch of meaning less time every day you spin that wheel. it will be more attractive to newer players that are poor, and uninformed with gold sellers.

Destroy the game? Whether or not real money is involved doesn't affect the game besides gold is changing from player to player. No gold destroyed/created in trading.

People on Sythe wouldn't want to destroy the game because that is how they get income.

 

I completely agreed with many of the previous moneymaking attempts by Jagex, such as the loyalty program, however SoF was completely against how the game was run for the last decade and more. I'd rather pay for a premium membership with more bosses or the like and have something to actually enjoy, then spend $20 on 200k experience and maybe a tattoo. Their is simply no fun in SoF; actual graphic/content updates is what Jagex needs to focus on for moneymaking.

 

They obviously don't care, they are complete hypocrites saying the rules they make up are designated for players only.
