Back to playing RS, need a "recap"

Hey everyone, how are you all doing?
I recently started Runescape back up again.. last time I played seriously was over a year ago.
Not too knowledgable with the current status of the game (update wise)

I have my pure, that I created and made still ready to rock and roll.
nearly maxed ags pure.

So what I was wondering was, any recent updates that are critical, so to speak, or anything that has changed the game immensely from what it used to be.

I know of the trade, and PKing is back.

 

its crap now, but mostly if you stake watch out for mage boxers with the armadyl spell umm rest are just stupid updates

 

I've noticed simple graphic updates etc, nothing major.
I have also heard of something called member points or something along the lines.. correct me if I'm wrong?

New graphical rework, but that won't really affect you.

Polypore staff? It's a new staff that can hit like 400 without runes. I can't remember it's mage requirement though. It lasts 3k spells.

Oh yeah dicing was removed, so people do "flower game". You can still dice but it uses IRC.

Loyalty points are pretty crap tbh. They have hardly any rewards. You get more and more points each month, and you get things like aura's, or emotes, or costumes.

 

Ah, so in reality over the past year or so, they have been as lazy as ever? Yeah I noticed no one dices anymore.. still so many scammers within that part of that game though, kinda sad to be honest.

ah thats the one, loyalty points.. hmm fair enough.
So in reality I didn't miss out on much..

 

Oh. The bot nuke, it got rid of reflection bots like Rsbuddy or Nexus. They also hired the owner of Rsbuddy at their company, he's called "Mod Jacmob"

 

Hey yeah speaking of which, I had heard along the lines botting was nuked.. I had a fair amount purchased from Rsbots.net (was reflection, so assuming they have been wiped also?)
Has anyone overcome this issue and created new bots?

now thats rather interesting in regards to the owner of rsbuddy, "if you can't beat them, join them" or in this case, jagex felt as if they had major competition.

 

Basically all of the updates they are introducing are to profit them (can't blame them.. they are a business). Like luring people to buy membership to do the squeal wheel. And then on top of that offering packages for IRL money to get more spins.

 

Yeah, the most used bot at the moment is "simba". Go ahead and download it, then look up a guide on youtube to set it up. It takes about 10 minutes but it's well worth it.

The story with Jacmob is (don't know if this is true, it's only the rumour), That mod mark said that anybody who can bring a working version of the bot to runefest in one weeks time will be offered a job at Jagex, and apparently he did bring a working version, so they hired him.

 

idk if anyone has said this but massive amounts of 1 itemers and pjers in wild. also you can buy squeal of fortune spins.... so u can pay for xp and items in a way (supported by jagex)

oh and rsbuddy did work jacmob just trolled us by giving it to jagex

 

You can buy Squeal of Fortune spins which means you spin and you get a prize and theres also divines etc but they can't be sold its only for you to keep and use
