First off please post the whole conservation especially points like these: http://screensnapr.com/v/1pf0k1.png

I was talking to him the whole time and apparently the transaction was picked up midway through the trade. At first it was "unavailable"(something went wrong with the transaction) and it then turned to picked up literally 2 minutes later. I was at the computer the whole time

This was literally impossible for me to pickup for a few reasons

#1. I was planning on loading it on my gold card, but never tried because the transaction was "unavailable". A staff member can have my gold card number(I'll take a picture and send it to them), they can call the number on the back, and see the last 5 transactions. My latest transaction was from February.

#2 The reason I'm using the gold card is because I'm living on the east coast, not in Illinois. My IPs confirm this that I've been here for months; not in Illinois. It's literally impossible that I picked it up in person in Illinois. The user claims someone picked up the money in person without an ID(what he said WU told him). This could NOT have been me.

What I think happened was that either:

    1. The user requested a refund. What WU processes a refund, they have you pick up the money using the original MTCN. The user picked up the money and is trying to defraud me.

    2. There's some sort of WU system error or error initially.

Confirming that IP does resolve to the East cost.

My judgement is that Nick wouldn't lie, he has invested quite a lot into TheGpExchange over the past few months and I doubt he'd blow it all away with, in comparison to his trading history, a lousy $600. If necessary to relax the minds of the users of this site, if a staff member could call that number, then great.

Yes i have to admit you were on MSN with me the whole time but you could of been on your phone, i didnt claim someone picked up the money in person , the phoneline the WU customer support told me , someone tried to pick up the money WITHOUT an ID. Then a few minutes later it suddenly turns to money has been picked up. Also if you dont live in Illinois why did you give me the details to send it to illinois?

I'm willing to do anything to prove I didn't/it wasn't possible for me to pick this up. I've also contacted my senior contact in Western Union to help find out more information on the case.

Western Union transfers the money to a Western Union Gold Card. Gold cards can be ordered online but it's like a credit card/one per person. Getting one involves giving them your social security number, DOB, billing address (mine is in Illinois) and first/last name. However, I never used(or attempted to use my Gold Card pickup method) on this transaction. The history confirms that. Unless I traveled half way across the United States and back in 20 minutes, it was impossible for me to pick this up in person. As a result, I didn't pick this up. It's not possible.

I'm in the process of uploading the chat logs for this conversation(private information blocked out). Give me a few minutes please.

On western union it says "Current Status: Your money has been picked up."
I understand you are half way across the united states but how could that have happened we are the only one with the tracking number.

We're not the only ones. The people at Vons have it. Your sender had it.

I'm hoping my contact will be able to give more information. For instance, a clever scam would be that a transaction is sent to a seller but has a secret question attached. The scammer could then get his friend to pickup via the secret question and it looks as if the seller really picked it up. So again, I want to try and get more information about this and see how it was picked up and where.

I knew this was fraudulent. The transfer costs $646 but the "receipt" was only charged $640.

Locked until another staff member can save the pictures / confirm. After it's confirmed they can unlock.

It's also worth noting that this user has banned accounts linked to his profile. Again another staff member is welcome to investigate.
