new spin = jagex's way of outbeating cheaters?

with the bonus exp lamps you can essentially now buy what skill you want maxed i don't know how cost effective this is just something I thought about.

 

i'm not sure of how much a spin costs, but I feel like this would be a horrible way to level up, lmao.

 

I spent £14 on 75 spins. With the bonus spins, I got around 90-100 spins.

Out of all of those spins I didn't get 1 red..
Also, I got about 100k exp of the exp I actually wanted.. Around 200k in exp in other random skills.

 

Its a poor way to level up really, as stated above the rewards you get are mostly all terrible.
You could just spend that £14 on skilling and get a few million exp in your desired skill

 

it would be a lot slower than botters LOL well u can say its a 'legit' way tho --

 

Jagex is just trying to make money... after they disapprove of real world trading.

 

From what I can gather, you get enough lamps to get about 200-300k exp in the skill you want (as long as its like 80+) with a $20 purchase. You'd be much better off buying GP or paying a power leveler.

 

If that's correct, KerokeroCola is indeed right. It would be much better to purchase GP on my opinion because it will end up cheaper and I'd rather give money to someone who puts more effort into making their money.

 

I think this is the first step before they end up opening up their own store selling gold.

 

The only skill worth training with buying spins is runecrafting, because you can make upwards of 900k xp/hr spending $60 on spins per hour... Considering legit runecrafting is like 30k xp/hr. 900k/hr is 30 times faster than 30k/hr. So 99 would cost anywhere from $5-$600 (Starting at a semi-reasonable level), but in the process of spending that much money you will save a massive amount of time. Lets say getting 99 using the squeal of fortune took you 10 hours and you spend $600 on the spins, doing it legit would than take you 300 hours (assuming you maintain a 30k xp/hr rate which is very unrealistic). If you have a job, you'll understand why 290 hours is much more valuable than $600.

I will absolutely not do this because for one, I've basically lost interest in Runescape, and I also have no interest in spending 10 hours opening up lamps, or spending 300+ hours running in circles.

 

Calculators have already been made for xp an hour and loss of $. It's very interesting stuff .
