    So.. Quitting..

*-I apologise if this is in the wrong section - Not sure what section it belongs in.. Maybe stories-*

So you've played Runescape for years - You've grinded those skills all the way to the max level, caught all the fish, hunted all the chinchompas, mined all the coal. You've completed all quests no matter how hard of impossible they may have seemed. Gained some pets, made some friends, made a lot of enemies. You've done it all.

After all of thsi is said and done you head over to the museum and claim what is rightfully yours: The Completionist Cape. As you reach for it you feel it's energies drawing to you and suddenly you feel empowered as it's drawn onto your person. After all these years you finally reached the main goal. And now what? You've nothing left to do and you're rather bored of the game. So you do some 'Scapers do and you quit, and that's that.. Or is it? Well yes it is but while I was bed one time I had a thought and I just wanted to get it out there for all others to read and yes I know I'm probably thinking a bit too much into it and yes I know it's a bit.. Weird but this is just for entertainment purposes so any negative opinions please keep them to yourself - That's not to say I'm not open to constructive criticism, just anything completely unnecessarily negative please keep to yourself. Thanks.

So when you quit you get up from your computer and leave. But your avatar..

You take another look at Lumbridge castle remembering all those years ago back when your first began. A grim smile comes across your face as you head in the opposite direction, after a brief walk you are finally here; Varrock. Heading in you hear a barking coming from the distance, you turn round to see your dog has followed you all the way here, although clearly neither the two of you are what you used to be, you walk together up the road to the fountain your dog quick to grabbing a few drinks, you lean down and stroke his soft fur coat and pat his side softly motioning away from the fountain, the dog, having gained wisdom from the years knows what you mean and follows behind you into a large building, you hear money being rattled as trades are made all over, ignoring this your walk simply over to the banker and ask for a few of your items. Nothing much simply the Completionist cape, a few garments you retrieved over the years from questing and a few books. With a smile you walk outside leaning against the wall you begin putting on the pieces of old clothing that remind you of the years gone by. How you missed the days when you would jump at the very mention of an adventure now, a little aged, you begin to feel the effects of all those years. Still if the chance did arise you would most likely push yourself to complete it. For now you head to Rimmington, Along your way you enter Falador, remember the fond memories you had, back then, when you climbed down the hole in the garden to face the Giant mole, what a battle that was, you look over at the empty bench remembering how Sir Tiffy was always there with you, helping you along the way through the ranks of the white knights. A tear comes to your eye for his passing*, looking down you manage to smile and carry on your way, your dog slowly but surely following close behind you, as you leave the south side of Falador you know you will never forget the memories, the quests, the drunken laughs with the dwarves, the fights you've had with the giant mole, as you head down the path to Rimmington you see the familiar purple glow of the portal you've used to hold many-a-parties on such special occasions: Becoming one with the gods, mastering the art of magic completely and the list goes on. You enter and feel the world dissolve around you when suddenly you are surrounded in the familiar wooden structure of your home, your dog hobbles in after you clearly pleased to be here, together you walk into the house with a few logs you set a fire and take a seat infront of it, you set your pack down by the side while on the other side your dog lays down on the carpet relaxed. You open the pack and pick one of the few books you chose from your bank: "Prifddinas' History" One of the books you've been meaning to read for some time now. The elven race has always sparked an interest in you. You think back to the days of your adventuring days in the elven lands and all around runescape wishing you could go back to doing such adventures with such ease and this time you can't change the emotion you feel, a tear forms and runs down your cheek as you look into the fire place, you look down at your dog remembering when he was only a pup, one more stroke of his fur coat you look back at the fire then down at the book, you wipe your eyes and relax further into your chair, door locked, fire on, book to read, you're finally read to begin your long deserved retirement.

    Hope you enjoyed :)

    So.. Quitting..

Its an interesting read sort of like "a day in the life of" , did you make all this up yourself?

Also as runtkirk suggested it goes in the forum he provided you with. Pm a global mod and ask him to move it for you.

That was not what I expected to read at all..... but a very nice surprise :) Good writing mate, and a nice little story with some good memories & nostalgia thrown in for good measure.

    So.. Quitting..

This made me feel much sorrow for my retired character... I only see him when I make trades to fellow Sythe members.

    Good story.
