Waterfiend Set Up

So I don't have a chaotic maul or a huge cash pile but I am going to go camp at waterfiends for a little while to gather some charms. I am wondering what the best set-up for it is to stay on the cheap side. I am thinking about just bringing guthans, a couple of prayer pots, and an SS along with some food just in case and some super strengths and super attacks for more kills/h. What do you guys think?

 

Bring a bunyip if you can, along with the scrolls, because waterfiends drop a lot of raw food, such as lobster and shark, and the scroll converts the raw food into HP. Definately make sure you use a SS, bring Karils or dhide (not armadyl because it gives negative melee stats).

 

Guthan is horrible.

Guthans is for healing so I have to bring less food.

 

Enchanted excalibur is better imo.

 

I don't have it, this account isn't quested. It is my old main from before the bot nuke, trust me I would be bursting rock lobs if it were quested more... I am just too lazy do the quests.

 

well it is better in the long run. Waterfiends is a bitch regardless of what gear you have on. and even worse with guthan.

 

Yeah realized that. Probably just going to quest and burst rock lobs.

 

I suggest botting Pest Control or playing it yourself to get a void melee set. It's excellent for waterfiends. Considering you are playing on a main I suggest a zamorakian spear as it has worked the best for me when I didn't have access to other weapons. Be sure to get 68 summoning & 80 cooking as soon as possible, this will allow you to heal by eating the raw food that the Waterfiends drop. The bunyip's scroll allows you to eat raw food But you do need the cooking level required to cook eat, hence the 80 cooking to eat the raw sharks.

 

Zamorakian spear and karils top+ bottom/hides

 

I find Zamorakian spear more accurate then the Saradomin Sword. But yeah bring a bunyip and swallow hole scrolls. Make super prayers if you can and take prayer renewals.

 

I died once fighting the waterfiends and I was having to eat constantly so I will have to wait for it. I am killing cockroaches at around 25 - 30 charms per hour. Not good, but better than risking my stuff and I make a little money.
