How to start investing?

Betting systems never work, unless you are doing something like the MIT guys did where you actually do the statistical math and figure out true odds. The sad thing now is that they reshuffle in like 10 decks so that isn't a viable system anymore and any betting system that claims to 'beat the house' will not work because they are based on flawed math. If you are going to do a betting system the way to go, in my opinion, is the reverse labouchere system. (Spell check?)
