Ban Reason: Leaking from the Upper Lounge and association with Undesirables.


I honestly didn't think this day would come, but I guess that there's some things I can't run from...
I am deeply regretful for what I have put some of the members on here through, staff included, though I guess I should start from the beginning.

In early 2010 I began my final year of high school while juggling a staff position within this community. I started out relatively relaxed and confident that both would remain under control, but after a month or so I realized that doing well at school and working on Staff was a huge undertaking and I began to grow tired of the site as well as the community. Slowly this boredom turned to distaste - my work as a staff member wasn't appreciated nor was I given credit for the countless hours I spent moderating.

One day I went into an old IRC that I used to frequent in before all the regulars were slowly banned, and began talking to some of the guys that were online. Slowly it dawned on me that I actually missed the old days more than I realized... being able to talk to like-minded people who I got along with, the same people who I had fun with and was able to share jokes with. I continued to remain on staff, but at the same time I grew fonder of the discussions we had over Facebook, IRC, and MSN.

This association and these friendships went on for months - the people I talked to didn't treat the internet like it was their life, they went on it to have fun. Eventually they managed to convince me to give them small details about things within the staff lounge, and I also unbanned a few of their evading accounts so they could return on this site.
Those things I did are absolutely vile, and as I look back at what I've done I feel sick to the stomach. I abused the trust of others for my own selfish gain - disregarding people for the sake of "fun". I honestly can't express how remorseful and guilt-ridden I am over it...

And I suppose now I should address the other part of my ban. Near the end of last year I returned on staff once University began to tie up and I began my summer break. Starting from then and running until now is why I am guilty of leaking - I leaked Upper Lounge polls/discussions and personal contact details of the Staff team.
I returned on staff with the sole purpose of compromising the staff security, as at the time I still felt angry towards how I was treated during my previous stint on the team.

Still in contact with a few of the undesirables and banned members that used to frequent this site, I relayed on personal phone numbers, private MSN's, addresses, poll results, posts, and other details to them so that they could use it to their advantage. From what I have been told this resulted in the personal lives of many staff members being hijacked by the people I associated with, and through social engineering it also resulted in the compromising as well as hacking of their emails.
My blatant disregard for the staff team's personal lives and details is inexcusable, and I am absolutely pathetic for treating it almost like a game.

While I have not been banned for this (and I was ruled not guilty at the time), something I would like to admit to is my ban evasion from an account named "Regina Spektor". While on staff a year or so back FireZ banned me for Ban Evasion, and after a week or so of deliberation within the staff lounge I was unbanned again due to inconclusive proof.
I would like to say now that I should have remained banned as it was indeed my account. I was much younger when I made my original account and I don't even recall my original ban reason, but I have felt horrible ever since as many of my friends and other staff members put their positions on the line vouching for my innocence.


If the staff choose not to support this pardon I completely understand. I abused your trust, I breached the staff code, and I betrayed those who called me a friend.
If I remain banned I can only ask that the community remembers me for the good that I did during my 3+ years on this site.

I can't believe you actually think you would be considered for a pardon after all you've done....

You not only breached the staff code as well as our trust, you also put our personal lives and finances at risk. You didn't just stop with names and email addresses. You continued on with phone numbers, home addresses, as well as details in regards to our personal discussions in the SL.

You treated your position as if it were a game and in the long run, the information you leaked may not only hurt, but destroy the lives of several staff members. I just wish we had caught on to you sooner. Your actions are an absolute disgrace. Not only have you just tarnished your own name, but your actions have absolutely disgraced the staff as a whole.

Then we have the leaking of the polls and the unbanning of multiple undesirable users. You willingly allowed scammers, hackers, as well as manipulative masterminds back onto the site to wreak havoc. Seriously, Alt. What were you thinking? I have to say it again. Do you HONESTLY think you even deserve a pardon in the first place? I don't understand why you took the time to write this, nor do I even understand why I'm taking the time to reply aside from the fact that I want you to know how deeply disgusted I am at you. Please do the site a favor and leave forever. Don't look back. Don't try to contact any of the staff nor the users. We don't want your filth around.

I had respect for you Alt, but with the severity of what you've done, I'm not sure I can see myself supporting you pardon.

Thinking about it, I've always had my questions about you, we've spoke a lot about how you would get angry at the mass amounts of new people on the boards that degraded everything, and spoke about the good ol' days and how you'd do anything to go back to them. I can't believe you wasnt joking, and how you've actually been conspiring against us all and filtering those undesirables back in.

 

Good god Alt... I don't know what to say, of all the people on the staff you were one of the most friendliest and kindest people I knew. And I wake up today to this. I don't know what to do, I can't imagine seeing you back on this site ever. I can't make a decision yet, but I highly doubt I'm gonna say yes to this.

You've really betrayed me and other staff's trust Alt, I even opened up and told you things I didn't feel comfortable taking about with the other staff about.

After this I don't think I want to hear from you again regardless of what happens. I've taken the liberty of blocking you on MSN and any other form of contact we have.

I think alt is a pretty cool guy. Eh breaks rules and doesn't afraid of anything.
