    You're cool.

The difference between selling 5B in gold and no picture and selling a cracker is that when selling 5B, you're not USUALLY selling it one go.. As where the cracker would be all in one go.

If on the other hand, you were selling 5B all in one go, you'd probably be forced to take some kind of verification..

This isn't to single out people because of what ever reasons, it's for safety measures.

Hence the reason I said old seller shouldn't really have to as much..

If you sell 100B in the past on sythe, and are an active seller, wouldn't be too unreal for you to have 5B..

I think that this rule should be implemented, really.
The argument that stocks change which would make this a hassle can be easily disregarded. Should this be implemented, a rule that the "maximum" amount that you plan on advertising must be shown could be placed.

Basing trust on meaningless statistics like join dates is a terrible idea. There's no 'active seller' rank, and therefore there wouldn't be a way of effectively enforcing this. A possibility would be to allow the 'highly trusted' members to not post any pictures, but there shouldn't be a difference between 2 ordinary users.

I buy refurbished items off woot all the time. I don't get a picture of what I'm buying; I just know what it is, that its refurbished, and that I trust the seller.
