Merching fail??

ok so i bought about 100m worth of range pots and magic pots during bxp... theyre orignal price were around 11k for range and about 8-9k for magic... but now it seems like they are still dropping even lower... im starting to think that they arent going to ever rise back to theyre orignal prices...what was supposed to be a 35-45m merch is seeming like a 30-40m loss.

 

You're too late man, you should've dumped already to get the minimal loss

Herbs are already starting to rebound, in turn pots will.

Potions and herbs haven't been this low since October, and they're already starting to rise.

Ex: I'm selling my clean Ranarrs for 5%+ over mid.

May take a little while, but they'll go back to what they were, or at least go up a little bit soon enough.

 

Prayer pots crashed a shat load sold them just in time too.

 

If you dumped at the right time i dare say you would have made a nice profit.. Bit late now :/ I suggest dumping them now ad learn from your mistake there are plenty of chances to merch again!

 

Though purchasing an item like this just before the bonus weekend was an inexperienced move, it would be stupid to listen to the people telling you to dump. They clearly have no idea what they're talking about. I'm actually going to head over to suggestions and complain about this sort of stuff, it's getting out of hand.

Don't do what every other noob merchanter is doing and panic dump now. The prices will rise back up to at least close to what they were. As another member mentioned, if there is another bot eradication, they prices will rise again.

In the future, I would suggest not buying potions that people don't use everyday. Especially now that Vecna skulls have arrived, magic potions are only used by mage pkers, which in the scheme of things, are few and far between. Range pots were overpriced to start with, and were also a bad choice. Try prayer, super restore, prayer renewal, saradomin brews, or super sets (with the exception of defence) next time.

 

this happened with gold bars + bananas for me. i kept them too long, sell when you're down not much

i ended up losing 200m+ with gold bars/ bananas lol.

 

Thanks for the advice, and i definetly wasnt going to dump my pots i know for sure that they will rise again eventually, because range pots are needed for pkers.

 

Your going to be holding them for a while longer before the price drastically increases again, Jagex is working on getting rid of color coding bots such as simba and once stuff like that takes place they will increase in price to probably over what you paid for them. Just give it time and the prices will eventually rise back up.

 

You held onto them for too long man. A ton of people trained herblore over the bonus exp weekend, and so therefore potion prices have plummeted due to the increased supply. It will probably be awhile before they go back up.

Unfortunately you probably shit the bed on this merch, and if they continue to decrease in price I would sell immediately. I feel your pain though - I lost something like 15-20M in a big herb investment which I thought was very clever, but people have caught on by now and start buying their supplies months in advance rather than a few days before.

 

That will never take place due to the fact that it's impossible unless they make Runescape "Grayscape", make it such that there's constantly changing colors, or even add weather. Even then, it would make scripting a more formidable task, but far from impossible.

Programs like Simba run off what the human eye sees, nothing else. Unless the human eye can't differentiate between things, then the program will continue to function.

Note: Simba is not a bot, it's a program that scripts can be written for Ruenscape on..

Btw to all the people saying that i have missed out on the time to sell, there wasnt really a good time to sell at all during bxp every few hours the price would continuisly drop, i was active during the whole weekend and it did not rise at all.
