Diablo III Carry over from D2?

Hi guys!

Do any of you know if there will be any carry-over of items from accounts on Diablo II, kind of like the Stones of Jordan and WoW (If I am not mistaken) ?
It'd be great to see, but at the same time if there is none, it'll probably keep me off of the D2 server until Diablo 3 launches.

Nope, no carry on.

The D2 ladder is really prestigious.

I don't think it will be possible since Diablo II is like 12 years old now.
