Why does newcomer always got scammed?

Active members here pressure them with e.g donator rank to get them to go first and ofc they'll end up getting fucked over...

 

Well when it comes down to it, it's trial and error. When I first joined I got scammed, learned safe trading to prevent that from happening again. So in a way it helped me but still sucked D:

 

to be honest, my tip is to use a mm... unless you really trust the person, there are some good people, and there are people that will scam like 2$ XD

 

because they trust older members

 

Recently I got scammed here.
I lost $10, I bought one ebook, but the guy didn't send me the ebook.
He took my money and ignoring my messages.
He took my money very smartly, he sent me a paypal gift link which I cannot go for a dispute now.

This is my bitter experience.

 

if you're not prepared to put your foot down on even slightly questionable trades then sooner or later you're going to come off second best. learning the hard way is the only way to learn imo

 

You will need to learn it in one way or another, i have not yet experienced any person trying to scam me. But still if i am going to trade any amount of goods, i will definitely use a MM...

use a OMM everytrade or get scammed eventually. its that simple

 

Because they simply fall for scamming tricks like imposters, and don't know how to trade safely and how to spot scammers.
Reading different rules & sticky's should do the job.

 

I think some new people come to sythe with too much of a trusting nature. People should be more cautious about trading with random people on the internet.

 

Never. NEVER go first. Always MM. Because even if someone looks trusty and has lots of vouches still might scam you.

For example, Zertux the Guido Moron had like 400 posts and lots of vouches but apparently decided that it was time to leave Sythe in style and scam me and two other people out of around 50 Mill in Gaia Gold.

The sad thing is, People do this. Build up vouches, Look trustworthy, Then scam you. Especially newer users who are new to the 'underground' buying and naive on the scammers ways of doing it.

Learned that one the hard way.

 

The fact the most scammers are the more trusted, knowing that they can pin it on the newcomer is disgusting. All disputes should be looked into.

 

Middleman

they are so amazing. Just takes no time to get one, and some are so nice and fast. Use them man i recommend.

Never buy an account that a middleman can't recover before processing the trade

Because they are newcomers. Newcomers don't know how to tell who is REALLY trustworthy... I mainly just buy gold. I buy from "bigger name" users or anyone who consistently does larger trades than the one I'm doing. If you follow that, it's really hard to get scammed when buying gold.

 

people feel that they can scam them because they wont know how to report, atleast thats what i get told.

 

Lol at everyone telling new members to use OMM every trade. That isn't the answer. OMM doesn't stop an account being recovered or paypal being charged back.
The answer is reading every sticky on sythe (which they don't) and having checking out the persons background so they can make an informed decision

 

U gotta be smart, as to who you trade to.

 

people usually snipe newcomers for scams since they might not know all the tricks etc..

 

Because they don't know how the game works. You learn through the years, and will become more careful. Being scammed is good in a way: you'll never get scammed again.
