Charm collecting.

Whats good charms on a ranged/mage tank? Till now, I've been cannoning black demons in traverly but when I realized that I've used several thousand cballs for a few hundred crims, I got kinda mad. Now I need an economical method to get charms. I'm aiming for 25k crims and atleast 2k blues by the next bxpw.

I have several thousand pray pots banked, CCB, tokens for rigour, access to frosts, several thousand cballs banked, ranged void with deflector, 2-3m gold with me all the time, low slayer, 80+ranged and mage and 60-70 defence.

There are a few options I have-
1. Do frost dragons for 3 months, quest to ancients and then barrage rock lobs.
2. Do slayer for 3 months and then do dust devils for the remaining charms.
3. Do metal dragons with poly stick.
4. Alternate between frost dragons and black demons.
5. Suggest?

PS, I can bot for ~75 hours a week and legit 15-18 hours a week.

 

Bursting/Barraging rock lobsters.
100+ Crims per hour and easy.

 

I dont have ancients

How much does it cost per charm? How good is the mage exp there?

If I do this, I will need a good amount of money before starting and about a month before bxpw, I will need about 500m for secondaries and shards so I dont wanna do anything that will prevent me from purchasing all secondaries beforehand. I dont wanna spend several hundred hours at frosts either.

 

Then get ancients. It's totally worth it and not only for rock lobsters.

LOL I botted 4months at cockroach soldiers got 90-99 att 87-99str and 89-92 def there and got 7k crims, 1k blues, 16k gold, 4k green got me 1-84 summoning so I'd just bot somewhere and make em collect charms (preferably bot at Dust Devils great Crimson charm rate)

 

I got my charms from rocklobsters for 55-96 summoning.
It's pretty good mage xp at the same time.

 

Bursting lobs is allways a great way for charms, it's expencive but sadly i'm not sure how much it ends up being per charm...But over the last few months i've really started to enjoy doing slayer 1. because its fun and 2. you really do get a large summ of charms and i personally think you should go with slayer you can get slayer up and when you hit like 91 you can boost to kill gano beasts and you make bank there Good luck with your account, if you have any other questions, feel free to pm me

Look at a vid/guide on YouTube if you aren't sure about them.

You will get a fair amount of charms (mostly blues), plus they drop some loot items as well.

The cost is comparable to Bursting Rock Lobsters.

 

Bursting Rock Lobsters & Fighting Waterfiends are the Two best ways to get Charms Fast, I did rock lobs from 1-99 summoning.

 

Got ancients today, bought runes for 20k bursts and gonna get tokens to recharge 3 sets of battle robes by this weekend. Should I expect 6k crims and a total of 5k other charms after bursting? Is it too much to expect?

 

Being a ranged/mage tank, I would definitely go burst Rock Lobs as its probably the easiest and most economical method for you. Waterfiends are probably a little out of your ranged as they hit quite hard and often, and would crush you with little to no defence. Other than rock lobs, training Slayer is a fantastic way to collect charms.

Also - make sure you do the "familiarisation" minigame every week, as it is extremely easy to complete and grants you triple charm drops (3x) for about 1 hour, which can help tremendously when trying to collect large amounts of crimson charms.

 

20k bursts would get you about 2k-2.5k crims and it depends too if you're luring 9 or 7 rocklobs

 

I would say do slayer for 3 months, I wished I used slayer to train combat/summoning.
