Storm of Armadyl

I was wondering, are the months and months of questing to get the "Storm of Armadyl" spell really worth it?

 

Its not so much the storm of Armadyl that is great its also the ability to kill glacors with the right strategy can yield you 3-5m an hr. From the boot drops as well overall a great quest to get done.

 

I thought it was just because it is a very powerful spell. Thankyou by the way

 

Yeah, storm of armadyl itself is worth it..

It's not really a "several months" job.. I could bot an acc to storm of armadyl within a month.

 

The spell is great on many monsters it blows through the fight kiln with ease. Fun to use with staff in wild and the Glacors to kill are great worth the time if you want something new and exciting to do.

 

I think you are forgetting the 270+ quest points involved that can be quite time consuming for people

 

It's worth it if you're account is up that high already, but I wouldn't make that your main priority if your light years away.

It's all the quests though. And I think it's worth it too.

Pking is an aspect too, aswell as other activities like you said.

I'm not much of a quester, so it will be VERY hard to do, if I ever do manage it all

If I did make one, it would be on a fresh account, so that could b one problem.

I quested for it for like 1 month+ and now I have gotten 5 kills in a week.

 

That's one thing, but is it worth wasting a few months on? I mean, there are other things in life, which is the reason I probably wouldn't get this.

That's alot of work, and infact, the polypore staff has a higher max hit.

 

if you plan on pking with the storm of armadyl and going to glacors the least u can do is slowly try to quest until you have rotm completed.. might take several months but if you don't have the time to get it done in 1-2 months why not plan on doing it from 4-5 months? Took me 4 years of slowly training agility to get it to 99.

 

Have you seen people use it with an Armadyl Staff & Full Vitrus?
Kids be banging out 400's on full dharok over and over, definately worth it.

 

Here are the rewards for RotM:

• SoA, which is one of the fastest DPS in the game. Bar none the best spell in the game.
• Killing Glacors, which is one of the best charms in the game, good money, and decent Effigies.
• Dragonbane bolts for 250k+ GP an hour on Frosts and almost 1m GP/hr.

IMO, SOA is worth it because you can mage box people who are dumb and try and mage box with ancients. It is also devastating in the wilderness, and if you want to just do something for funsies you can go do a 35 minute Fight Cave run with it.

 

Doesn't take months of questing to get Storm of Armadyl, unless you quest really slow I guess...

It's worth it, especially when you take into account all the other rewards you get on the way to doing Ritual of the Mahjarrat, and from completing that quest.

Also, once you have done it once, it makes doing it on other accounts very easy

 

A few months ago I started doing the required quests for RotM. I am in no way a fast quester, in fact, I go on "sprees". By this I'm talking about the random days I'll decide to do 4 long quests, and then take a week or two break in between them.

But yeah, I started a few months ago and I still have a substantial amount of questing to do before I can even start RotM. If you haven't really been a quester in the past, it can get pretty overwhelming. I'm overwhelmed just thinking about it. My best advice is to just take each quest one at a time, and not think about how much more you have to do. Bored? Just use a guide to blow through a quest.

I'm aware I didn't answer the question that this thread was created in order to discuss, but I thought I'd just share my experiences with working my way towards the spell so far.

 

There's no rush I suppose.

That's the thing, alot of work, but a good outcome.

The only thing I'm concerned about is how long the quests are going to take.

How long would you estimate it would take to get?

Yep... its worth it... died so many times from soa rushers :/ I finished wgs the other day and I'm hopin to do rotm soon... hate the agility/mining req. tho

 

There are loads of requirements, but you seem as if your practically done
