Trying to find a new computer

Hey, I currently have a Dell XPS L17-something-something. I got it about... A little less than 9 months ago and it's already hit the crapper. I admit I'm never good to my computers, but I've had to replace the motherboard twice, the keyboard twice, the hard disk a grand total of 6 times, the heat sync twice, the screen once, the sub-woofer once, the ram twice... I'm tired of this crappy-ass computer.

I got the computer as a hush-hush sort of thing from Dell. My last XPS (Studio XPS 16) blew up, and so did the Studio 15 before that. They replaced both the prior computers with the one after that, and the Studio XPS was replaced with this crappy thing. I got it about two months before it was released to the public, and I regret it but I'm still thankful for having a computer after everything.

Anyway, after my long-winded sob story, here's what I need. I need a computer that can handle gaming and SERIOUS 3D rendering. It has to have a good processor and a good amount of RAM or the capability to add more. I prefer 16"+ screens, and I don't mind what size HDD it has as I will probably just upgrade later, or buy an external. Sound isn't a priority. Graphics card has to work wonders as I run Maya 2012 and 3DS Max and render for highly-professional clients... The renders have to look good, and YES I have a desktop that works great, but I also do on-site renders for clients so it's a must.

Battery life isn't a concern as I typically have it plugged in more than not. I'm not worried about included software either, I have everything I need. Must be windows, no macs, no linux, no buts.

I'd prefer to have a budget of around $1,000 as I need this computer ASAP, but 1,500-2000 is do-able. I heard the Razer Blade came out and might just save up for that. I also have no credit, so financing would not be... ideal.

Let me know your thoughts, oh great Sythe users. I've been looking for about 4 months now after my last part replacement and I'm still at a loss :/

God, I have been failing at reading threads this week. Next week it all changes. Here ya go, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834230142

Honestly I would go with a desktop to fully do the things that you want to do easier and more on budget with performance.

Also, an SSD will make rendering time a ton faster.

Sorry to hear about all your misfortunes with your computer's, but you know what they say, you pay for what you get, and in your case, it just happened to be a piece of shit.
But I do know of someone who is selling a computer here on Sythe that they made themselves that can handle a shit load of gaming AND it has a Xbox 360 built right into it, I'll try to find you the link.

Thank you for the plug man! I literally smiled!

But yeah man you can purchase that and I do not think it would have any problems doing what you want it to do. It will be over your budget though but i think worth it!

Try to get a decked out Asus, it will cost you around 900-1k and will be the same thing as a decked out alienware mx17 - the lightup keyboard and the brand name
