custom last login on runescape

Niceee, I'm no computer savy so I never even knew you could do this or I would of never found this out without this thread, thanks for the guide.

Have you tried, to let another log in and ask him what he see at last IP?
Also i prefer to use an VPN.

Just use a VPN, i tried this guide and let my friend log in at my account and he see my normal IP not to what i changed it, the change is just for you self so you only see it at your own computer.

 

That is correct, however, it's still extremely useful to make sure that no-one else has logged in to your account from a different IP, and to protect your IP when you are making RuneScape videos or when you are **********ing.

 

In my experience, the last log-in IP you see is hit and miss. Often when I log in, I'm not even seeing the IP of the computer that 'last' logged into my account, just one that logged in soon-ish before my current log in.

 

Pretty clever and looks like it does work.
Sucks that I can't save the file for some stupid permission reasons but ill save this for the future. Thanks.

 

Thanks for sharing how this works. Sadly when I logged in a few months ago the IP was "you.have.been.phished" and all of my stuff was gone

 

Damn, this is pretty cool but... Won't it make it easier for scammers to hide their IP if they recover an account they sold?

For example if Bob recovers the account he sold to John, and then logs into the account using the masked IP, wouldn't it now be impossible for John to prove Bob recovered it (assuming he was provided with enough info for a succesful recovery test)?

Can you tell me how you will "hide" your IP?
If you or another person logged in with another computer,
he just see your real IP adress.

Edit:
But yes if you make an video or something and you log in then it is a good way to hide it.

It only works ON THE PC YOU CHANGE THE HOSTS FILE ON.

It will not keep anyone from seeing your IP but you.
