Why are ini pures good?

I've heard about initiate pures alot, but I don't see why they're so good? Am I missing something?

 

I have a ini pure they are good because you can wear more things maybe because of 20 defence , I'm turning 30 in the future as a turmoil pure.

 

But if anything, the extra little bonus is just adding on levels, when you can get a few strength levels instead?

 

Initiate pures also have access to corrupt statius/vesta/zuriels if anything I guess

 

That's really expensive though for a low level pure.

 

It's usually the beauty of 20 defence though, if you have the money to spend that is. Only 20 defence for pretty good corrupt armor for good bonuses.

idk, initiate gives great prayer bonuses, plus at 20 def rune gloves are a possibility. and corrupt stuff. i personally would just go for 40 def though...

Initiate pures are not that great at all in my opinion.

 

I think I would stick to 1 defence pures.

 

Back in the time when everyone pked with d scim/dds or whip/dds, Initiate pures were really affective due to the fact of having a bit of prayer bonus and strength bonus behind them, Nowadays they are very weak due to turmoil pures & 60 Attack rune pures.
Saying that most initiate pures tend to have 70+ Attack, I recently sold my old school initiate pure due to the fact it was horrible getting owned by turmoil and claws.
Stick to 1 def!

 

They aren't as good anymore if you're poorer and can't afford to risk corrupt vesta/statius.

That being said, they with that gear and decent stats they can go to toe to toe with 1 def/30 def turm and Rune pures.

I would really would advise against maxing one to 99 attack though.

 

Every pure has a weakness, and this is it im guessing. I'll stick to 1 defence

Yeah, if you got defense up, DO NOT MAKE AN INITIATE PURE! They are just absolute trash.

If I were you I'd level it to 30, 40, or 45 (as a last resort).

40 is the best though !
