New PK scam?

I don't know if this is old or not, but I recently started pking again.

Here's what the other player does, he says something like "No plate, for higher hits". What you both would do is lend your plates or whatever item to each other. He would discard his, so it gets sent to the G.E.

Now what happens is, let's say you have an AGS. And you have the borrowed item. You keep the borrowed item over the AGS.

I fell for it, I should've discarded the armor. Good fight AGS lol.

Cant trust these kids...If anyone asks me to do anything out of the ordinary i just walk away. I had some guy asking me to buy him like 200 steel bars for a specific price then he would pay me like double or some shit cause his limit for the ge was reached..I still dont know what he was up to, but was fishy

But I got the money back for an AGS by staking.

Not in the wildy, but you can bring borrowed items with you.

What happened was we were both level 126. He said to fight at level 1. And he said this "No plate, dm low food trying to hit high vidding". The first thing that came to mind when he said "Vidding" was a scam, that's how a lot starts. But I didn't think anything could go wrong. He went to the wilderness ditch, lent each other our plates and went in the wildy.

That was suspicious enough. I killed him the first fight though. Then the 2nd, he came to me again and said the same thing. I fought him, and I DMed. Next thing I know, I lose my AGS and I have a rune plate in my inventory.

 

I coulda sworn that you couldn't take borrowed items into the wilderness because of those partyhat scams from ages ago.

 

you can take em in but you cant wield them

 

Ah ok. I could see how you could easily get caught by this one then badluck man =\.

You can no longer use loaned items in the wilderness. This will not work

Interesting, I have PK'd alot in my time that I played but never came across it.
