    Customize laptop?

Where is a good website to customize a laptop. To get the best bang for my buck. I am aware alienware is way overpriced. I am just not sure what other websites are out there. I also want to play heavy games on the laptop...Skyrim etc.. Any ideas?

I second that. One of my friends in high school had a Asus that was fairly cheap and ran most games fairly well. You aren't going to get anything that runs on high graphics but for a laptop Asus does pack some punch for a pretty good price.

Also, I know several people who have had alienware laptops who's backs have melted due to the heat.

I own two Alienware Laptops and that is a bit insane. Unless they were smothering all of the vents or something that responsible users dont do.

I left this out of my earlier post. If you have the funds to purchase an Alienware Laptop go for it, I have not been dissapointed. Do know that there are similar if not better performing laptops out there for cheaper. The visual aspect of Alienware is stunning.

I would spend it on a Desktop, Alot better for your money.

Top laptop runs low fps below 50, My standard $500 runs ~300 Fps.

The g74 series has excellent cooling for a laptop.. I own one and it never overheats.. I could describe the cooling to you, but it's hard. Definitely superior to others though.

As far as performance goes, I have never seen a better deal for the price. I play BF3 on max with mine, 33fps.
