Fire Cape

So, i am getting a firecape on a tank of mine. But 43 prayer is the highest ill get, so the question i have is, what quests will i HAVE to do to get prayer xp before i even think of using frost bones on an altar.

If you plan on getting Animal Magnetism done for Ava's device, if you want to get ancient magicks. That's all I can think of at the moment.

 

Ghost's ahoy gives prayer exp.

 

Restless ghost?

 

The Restless Ghost & Priest in Peril as they are a requirement for Animal Magnetism which will unlock Ava's Accumulator which is extremely useful for ranging.

Other then that it wouldn't hurt to do Swan Song as it gives a hefty amount of prayer xp which can save you some money aswell. You might want to do The Spirits of Elid aswell as I believe it gives 8000 prayer xp.

If you would do those four quests you can get 43 prayer and still do some minor prayer xp giving quests while staying 43. I suggest you to get 44/45 or even 74/77 though.

 

Definitely do Ghost Away as it will be needed and you can google up quests which give you prayer xp.

 

If you want to get barrow gloves later without getting prayer xp it might be smart to do some of the prequests for that as well.

I personally don't think barrow gloves are needed on a tank tho..
O yeah, 45prayer is worth the quarter of a combat level you gain.

 

44 prayer is worth getting for eagle eye (think it was called that?), and you might as well get 45 for mystic might because uneven prayer levels don't increase your combat level.

 

this and it wont hurt you at all unless you fuck up on something else like get another def lvl

 

Thanks for all of the input but 1 im not going to be using mage and 2 im not going to be using range, i only am getting mage/range up because i need 80 magic to wield the chaotic staff and i need 60 range for firecape.

im not looking to get my prayer any higher at all. just the bare min. for firecape. But i know i'de need to do some kind of quests but im not sure priest in parell and animal mag are a definate yes because im going to need avas for 60 range.

 

What's your defence level? If it's decent you really won't need 43 prayer..you could just settle for up to Protect From Missiles.

 

If you can wear some half decent magic armour then pps is a lot better than 60 range...

 

the only thing is if i get 80 magic now my combat level will go from 62 to like 78? or 82 and thats not good because i wont be able to pk at all but if i get 60 range, then ill only go from 62-64 combat. so ill still be able to pk so im going to be doing it with range, i'm going to be having kingtjin or whatever do it for me because hes pro and i've allways gotten my capes from him.

The Holy Grail quest gives 10k prayer xp.

im not getting it right now, i'm getting it later after 80 dung and i get like 95+ str because it is going to be making my combat level go up so high, i want to still be able to PK after getting 80 mage. Getting it now would make me not able to go pking at all

 

Alright, though keep in mind 80 magic (or ranged) will bring your combat to the same level as 20 attack+99 strength would.
