Is powerbot back?

Does anyone have any news on Powerbot? I see they have a .jar file to download (which I don't know if I should open). I looked through the forums and can't find any information. I'm wondering if anyone knows what's up, and what this download is:

And of course, all the 'scripts' I saw (on the forum) were just old pre-nuke scripts noobs bumped up to the top. I will admit, I check probably once a week just to see what's up, and this is new to me. I do apologize if it's old-news and I'm just now finding out.

Anyone know anything about it?

 

As of now, it's a "preview" that doesn't seem to load RS but the developers say it can't run scripts anyway. They are promising a working client in the future, so all there is left to do is wait. Expect them to push back the final client release because of some obscure reason. The PB community was full of leechers and trolls, now most of them have moved to Rarebot, no idea what they expect to gain by re-releasing their client. They are already making a lot of money by promising a working client in the future, I would be surprised if they release anything at all.

 

The client in fact IS working.

They just have not added the option to add scripts. I guess it's to show that they are making progress and are so so close.

Expect it within the next week or two to be able to add scripts.

looks like a fake to keep people on their site.

they call it developer preview but it has nothing. no debugging shit etc. i think it dosent even read the game code. just loads runescape.

Just in time for the new bot nuke? Jeez, take like 6 months.. Don't bother with PB.

 

I can make a client that loads Runescape, that is easy. People have been saying that their sources say they are releasing powerbot since 2 weeks after the nuke. In a week or two is just a way for them to make money because people will keep coming back, just like you. It is all a ploy, just like it has been for the last 3 or 4 months. How many times have they said they were going to release something? I will believe it when I see a fully functional bot, not something that can load runescape.

 

I must say, I'm surprised with everyone's answers and that you all know so much. Thanks for explaining it to me.

I guess if a mod sees this, he can close/lock it. I don't think anything more can come from this thread.

Powerbot are really a joke. The only thing keeping the bandwagon going is all its followers. It's about time PB dies to be honest

powerbot really was awesome but currently they got no coders that are able to update this shit and now they release fake stuff to keep ppl on their site.

 

The new client they released won't even load runescape and is poorly thrown together, with not much information to boot.

 

The new client worked fine for me; it loaded RuneScape nice and fast.
Maybe you should try re-downloading it and try again?

Why can't people just wait? I've realized rarebot is shit because it can't even do most of the randoms.

 

It's annoying when people say bots are shit and have ZERO experience coding. So what your bot can't do randoms... The shit that needs to be done just to scrape data from the client is no small task. Before Jagex decided to redo the way they did obfuscation hooking objects was hard...now it's become substantially harder. Also keep in mind that developers have to write an API that works with their client and is understandable to the scripters...this means someone also has to write documentation. So instead of complaining about how shitty the bot is why don't you contribute to the project or just keep your mouth shut.

 

Hardly, their bot can only load the RS screen...they have more coding to do and have to remake the scripts, etc.

 

It can load and read data from the client meaning hooking is working for the most part...

They are currently working on their API...

 

No, the bot isn't back yet they are working on a few more things. They are close and it should be up and running in no less than a couple weeks.. just in time for the 2nd bot nuke lol

 

Hope it will be legitimally released soon, wanna use powerbot instead of eb:S
