Don't think you should get interested it stock tbh. Unless you have thousands to invest you are not going to make money 'quickly' as I assume you are trying to.

You need to get a good portfolio so that if one of your investments do not work then you will have others to fall back on.

I'm involved in stock but only on a very small scale. I do lots of research and mostly buy rather than sell. I only ever sell if the price has increased a lot otherwise you may as well keep the stock.

Make sure you do research before your investment. Do not investment in banks. The prices are low for a reason and they are not set to increase for a long time yet.

Metals are a good investment, oil is usually fairly good too (the price does fluctuate quite a bit sometimes) and of course you can go for blue chip company's.

Just do not go into this thinking you will make lots of money quickly because you just won't to be successful you need thousands to invest.

    ^all depends on your age/$$/plan.

first, read a few books about the market. Rich Dad, Poor Dad is a great first read (isn't very technical, good mindset)
It is important to set a plan as well, and determine how much risk you are willing to take - from there you can start to choose different investment vehicles.
