You should get your bot sorted out first, find a bot that is capable bot atleast 4 bot at a time. Otherwise you could be running 2 rarebot on that processor when you could be running 10 scar or simba.

    Otherwise its a good processor:)

A good processor is a good processes.

Certain ones aren't 'better for botting'

And yeah, like do you even have a good stable bot, scripts, plans on what to auto, etc etc? Best to have a good gameplan before just buying stuff.

Basically with AMD you can get more core/ghz for less $, BUT Intel processors although same core/ghz but always are 'better' in benchmark tests than AMD.

dude trust me, i7's are the best ways to go. I know this because I script myself, java uses multhreaded procedures. It basically runs the script in multithreaded format. Just because you have extra cores doesnt mean anything. the eight core processor your thinking of getting will guaranteed get beat by any i7 2600k or a i5 2500k As for the i7 2700k, paying a extra 20 or so for a simple 100ghz more, is alright also. If your cash pile is alittle low then that AMD is good but then again putting a extra 30 for a i5's wouldnt be a bad idea also.

I'd put every extra bit in that you can to go for the best processor you can.

Not just for performance now, but for comparison of performance later.

If you wanted to just simply run as many bots as you can, depending on the different processors and rig solutions you are looking at, you could just buy a few sub par desktops (but only spring for 1 monitor/keyboard/mouse, you can use the same monitor/keyboard/mouse for all of the computers)

You're crazy your just looking at prices and picking the highest one, a 3.5ghz quad core could never keep up with a 3.1 eight core hyperthreading and all that shit is also terrible on a computer when botting and isn't all that great either.

Also your paying a decent amount of the money just because of the on board gfx with it which you don't need when botting. You picked a good choice for a processor I don't know how many of the other bots it can handle but yours as long as you have enough ram will run at least 12 epicbot bots but I would guess 14-15 This is going from my computer which has just over half the processing power yours will.

And if you want to go bigger I would just buy a kit to make a work station just make sure its properly cooled or you will fry the system fast and possibly start a fire. If you can use a refrigerator they work wonders.

You must be retarded. Have you even checked benchmarks between the two? 2700k destroys it. 2700k will run more bots. That bulldozer will run 12-14 at max.

Even the i5 2500k beats the bulldozer.

Please people I did not ask for intel fanboys when I created this thread. I already know AMD is more bang for your buck. Why would you try to tell me the i7 2700k 'destroys it' well guess what its also double the price. It better destroy it.

It's pretty much a FACT that Intel beats AMD across the board, look up benchmarks and see for yourself. And I'm in Intel fanboy, I have all AMD myself, wish I didn't though :p.

Well if you have an extra $30 I would get an i5 2500k. The reason I would compare the 2700k to the bulldozer is because AMD matched it up to be the 2700k's competition and it failed to preform. I'm not an Intel fan boy I am just telling you the facts. As Jo said above, Intel beats AMD across the board.

Your crazy, the only thing a i7 is better for is actually playing games. when botting as long as you only have 1 window up at a time I will bet you any amount of money you would like that as long as he gets the ram\proper fans\ and proper power supply he will be able to run a few more bots than you would on a i7.

I can assure this because when I have 2 processors running out of my workstation it destroys my cousins computer which happens to have a i7 in it.and my 2 processors together are only about 5-10% powerful than his would be alone.

i7 2700k KILLS the bulldozer in running bots. Please show me some proof that the i7 2700k STOCK loses to a bulldozer STOCK in running bots. You can't. The bulldozer is a terrible processor.

Make sure you have the RAM to support it, running 8 bots, 6 rare, 2 VM with RID, i needed like 6 gigs of ram. thankfully i can still play bf3 flawlessly whilst all this botting is happening
