Jagex lie

So i bought 10 level 3 accounts 1.5 years ago, used a few of them, quit for over a year. Recently came back and picked one of my remaining level 3s, not logged in for over 1.5 years, bought an upgrade over sythe, was applied through team viewer.

Proceeded to play him for 2-3 weeks. Went to login today "Account Locked"

No-body has ever known the password to this account, besides myself obv.

Changed the password like 4 days ago anyway, I'm on Mac, no I've never downloaded anything dodgy on this computer and lust 0% chance of a virus etc.

The password has not been changed, its just says the account has been locked as they think somebody knows my password, which is impossible, and not the case.

As this is a fresh level 3, it doesn't have any recoveries, email registered, etc.

So by this I'm assuming i have 0% chance of recovering it.

Jagex fucked me, for no reason. Just disappointed as i was having fun on him and he had approximately 20m wealth.

 

If you bought them then maybe the original owner tried to recover it?

 

This crossed my mind, but bearing in mind i literally bought them somewhere along the lines of 1.5-2 years ago.

i logged into 4 of them 3 weeks ago and none of them had been moved, logged into or altered.

The seller was a tutorial island botter and sold hundreds of level 3s.

plus as i said, the password was never changed, jagex are just saying they believe somebody knows my password and locked the account...

none of the other level 3s are locked or have been touched since this account lock.

 

Jagex has been locking accounts that they suspect of having been traded/sold, given that he made 100+ accounts his IP was most likely flagged and it seems like they went through systematically locking accounts they believe he sold

 

Perhaps but why would they wait almost 2 years to do it? Especially after it became a member which they desperately crave, and out of all the level 3s i bought, this was the only one affected.

 

Changes of IP will result in a lock lol

 

Most likely a drastic IP change lock, not someone trying to steal the account back.

 

Maybe the upgrade was chargebacked?

 

Teamviewer, I've heard can you be used to keylog so If the Membership seller Keylogged you and they noticed the change in IP 3 times from 3 different countries I guess.

 

I logged into a couple of my old level three accounts and somehow the names were gone. I never left tutorial island, so the accounts no longer have the name that is used to login to it. For some reason they are at the lumbridge castle waiting to be named

Happened to me when I started playing RS again after a long time as I had moved interstate. Eventually got it unlocked though as I had most of my old details still.

 

the membership was applied via teamviewer by a trusted middleman, not the seller.

 

Check if you got a chargeback from your membership upgrade.

 

Can't, when logging into the website, it takes me to a page straight away about recovering the account to unlock it.

It says the lock is due to they believe somebody knows my password.

 

1. Why the fuck would you buy a lvl 3 fresh off of tutorial lol, at that time there was a bot to make them.


2. You can still try to recover, if you know the membership date, the passwords, you might be ok

3. They wouldn't just lock your account for nothing. There was something going on with your account, or in the past year you moved or something. (Or maybe you're using a VPN / Proxy)

Just try to recover it, no harm can be done by just trying.

 

At the time i required lots of level 3s for botting purposes, and the only tutorial island botters i was aware of, were paid scripts, was much cheaper and easier to purchase a 10 pack of level 3s off a sythe seller.

Yeah I've sent in a recovery request, but its been 24 hours and no response, which is very odd, last time i submitted these they took a couple hours so

Well its hard for something to go on, on the account when it never logged in for 1.5 years, haven't moved address, and having used VPS's or a Proxy in again around 1.5-2 years.

Just seems very odd, that i came back from not playing in ages, log into one of my level 3s, make it a member, play it for 2-3 weeks then its locked for apparently someone knowing my password, its all strange.

If this is the case, they why did it take jagex 2-3 weeks to actually lock it, after the membership was applied, i only ever played the account within the same location between a laptop and a computer.

 

Someone probably tried to recover your account.
