Why do people buy gold from sites?

I cannot get my head around people buying rsgold from random websites, rather than from an open trade center such as sythe.
These sites often charge as much as .9-1.0$ per mil, far more than even the most trusted sythe sellers sell their gold at.
For example read through the yahoo answers for "runescape", it is depressing.


Even sites such as rs4gold, why would you pay their stupid prices when there are so many extremely trusted sythe sellers selling for less, who are not going to sell on your details/credit cards, and are much much much less likely to scam.

 

They may not know of sythe, and besides, most kids think that they're legit because of their flashy pictures and fake giveaways etc.
This is why 11 year olds shouldn't be allowed on anything besides google.

 

Those purchasing from sites are usually the young kids using their parents credit card. They automatically assume a website selling gold is "legit".

 

But you say that acting like sythe doesn't have 11 year olds that think everyone on here is "legit" as well.

 

They have to find this site first.. Then get to know and understand it.

Because it is easier to card from the shitty chineese sites then people on these sites..

They are more likely to search "Buy Runescape gold" on Google and just click a top site rather than research for good prices. I doubt they buy in bulk either.

 

Sythe gets a bad rap from the scammers, also these gold sites are available 24/7 for the most part and in almost all cases, you get what you pay for (at least for gp)

 

Because gold sites accept Paypal while every gold seller only accepts Player Auctions (which is a hassle tbh).

 

Player Auctions is the best place to buy from.
It's an 'open market' you can sort prices by lowest to highest, and they protect you from all scams.

The best/cheapest place to often get gold is Player Auctions and sorting by price.

As for the 'random' sites selling for a lot of $ per gp, no clue man, their customers are just uneducated or believe that the sites are safe for something.

 

This. When I can't contact someone to buy gold here, I use a goldsite that I know is legit.. and it's 0.79/m. I only buy gold from PlayerAuctions it's like 65c a mill.... It's 100000x more secure then trading over sythe to someone who is selling for that cheap

 

yep it's very tricky for newcomer that want's to buy gold
easy deal for them when someone advert it ingame

 

i remember when i used to buy off of gold sites where youde pay like 15.00 for 10m the gold ol days when i purchased gold for the 1st time, it was to buy my 1st Dark Bow! i did like 55-60 range in the duel arena on my friend i gave him food to eat and i just would attack him till he died, then we would bank and get more food and continue

With what you said tho, now that ive..."Matured" on runescape it really makes me feel dumb that i purchased gold, from these stupid sites where the people would call to confirm your order and you couldn't understand a damn thing they were saying.

 

they dont know of sythe and also its easier to buy gold from sites then on sythe unless you buy from trusted people

 

Because they are stupid persons that arent smart enough to check a bit more around the markets
