Good screen recorders? Also how AVI to WMV?

sorry guys but im comming to the experts here. I am not tech savy at all and would like to start taking video recordings of my runescape trades. I have a video recorder downloaded (hypercam 2) but it doesnt seem very good quality, so could you suggest another video camera? I also have camtasia previously downloaded but the free trial ran out. Also i need to know how to convert my AVI video format to WMV video format, which program do i need to convert into WMV.

Im sorry if this is simple, i am a moron when it comes to computers.

 

camstudio is what I would recommend if you are looking for free software. I have used it and it had good quality.A simple google search can find an WVI to WMV converter. They are all different so you can choose.

 

IscreenRecorder is insane, its free for first month, pm me if you wan't i could give you code to get full version

 

I use doxillion document converter to convert my files.

 

Camtasia Studio is my choice.
I have used it and the software is really wonderful and easy to use.

Honestly I still have my unregistered hypercam from like 07 when I would make those failer attempts at a RSMV when they were 'in style'. Really it's great quality and you can choose what you want it saved as. As for the hypercam symbol @ the top left.. just ignore it if you want.. OR if it's a must, you can simply black it out..

I don't know about the recording, but Zamzar.com should be able to convert your shit

I've got an AVI to MP4 (Really good converter) produces great quality, and compresses video file.
No installing either, just unzip and start it up.
