As i'm sure you are well aware, Novorites has been banned for ban evasion. And for being banned on another site I think?

Im also sure you knew he had a staking service open and by simply reading it he was holding 1b+ of various Sythe users money combined. Instead of simply temping him, or closing the service or just pm'ing the people who put money in to him and saying get your money and don't give him more. He was doing a legit service, he had made me 60m in 2 days and made others even more than that.

Now he is banned, I have got no hope of contacting him and I highly doubt i'll ever see the 180m I gave him again. He's banned for good, why would he want to give money back to the communtiy im sure he is mad at... In my view this was completely avoidable.

I knew giving him pretty much my bank would always have it's risks, but never did I expect it to be lost to him this way, when he wasn't actually planning on scamming me.

If he wasn't planning on scamming he will simply give you your money back. If he doesn't - he might have been planning to scam. That's just my point of view though, you can be mad on the community but that doesn't mean you have to scam individuals.

I'm not 100% sure on the situation but if he was planning to be 100% legit I'm sure he will give you your money back.

If he continued to stay he would have scammed far more than what he did. It was your guys choice to trust him with the money. Even if we had the time to pm every single person on the thread to get your money, at least 1 person would have brought it up to him and he could potentially of had more people to scam as not everybody would see a warning. If he scammed now he would have scammed more in the future.

Not sure why you posted this. Are you mad at moderators for banning him? Or are you mad for your own actions? Do you want us to show sympathy for your actions?

You made the decision of trusting him with your money. What in the world were you thinking? Is he an OMM, a moderator or a highly trusted member? Not at all, so why would you give your money to him? He was clearly caught for ban evading so it means he was banned before and probably scammed before as well. So you know what you did? You trusted a scammer + ban evader with your money. I'm afraid he is gone now and there is a 99.9% chance you'll never get that money back ever again. Let a lesson be learnt, trust nobody. Don't be mad at the community or the decision made against him, be mad at yourself.

P.S. Obviously there would be a risk to the community if he wasn't banned as soon as possible, as he would have just scammed countless other members. And I doubt he would even give your money back, when clearly knowing he was going to get banned sooner or later anyways for ban evasion.

You have the wrong idea. This is what is on his mind, and what he said "im doen with this wasted to many hours being legit for what" "nothing".

I do think this was preventable, or at least could have prevented most of the scammed users from being scammed.

Members would respect and do as a moderator says. Here is what would go on their minds "He cannot know, or he would just scam me and run off with my money". He wouldn't be able to scam more, because he would basically return all, if not most, customer's investments. And if there are any new customers that are interested in his service, they could have been warned by someone trusted+ via PM.

Most people who had gave him money had done so without posting on his thread prior to handing it out, even with a temp ban he was ready to leave, and with a no ban he would have continuously got more people to hand over money to him.

What the hell are you rambling on about? He was clearly caught for ban evasion, meaning he had been banned before and there was obviously a clear reason for that (I'm 99.9% sure it was due to a scam). He obviously opened up the staking shop and tried to act legit for the first couple of stakes until he could lure countless other people to give him FREE money. There was no plan for him to stay legit. He simply did it all until he was caught for ban evasion, and what happened is that some unfortunate members had already given their money to him; and he is obviously not going to give it back now. He could have scammed while he was getting his first few staking money from members; but he decieved you all. He knew he was making profit so he kept at it and just waited until he was caught and banned for ban evasion. More profit + money for him in the end. I've caught and gotten banned more scammers than you've ever talked to. I already was planning on reporting him but I didn't have any sort of evidence to back up my claims. Guess I don't need to now? Do not let the wrath of scammers decieve you. What I find humorous is that he got vouches from highly trusted members and those highly trusted members should have known better than to believe such a fool and support him - that's another reason so many newcomers got lured into his trap. Be wary of everyone, and trust nobody (except for Mods, OMM, Admins etc.). That is the golden rule.

What if his intentions were good this whole time? Yes, there was a risk. But there's a risk with everyone. They could be hacked, they could go rogue, anything could happen. If you went through the staking thread, you'll see he made a good profit and left a lot of people happy, including me. He was holding over 1B at 1 point, and he didn't run off with it. From what I saw, he paid the users back.

He isn't "mad". I don't see anywhere that shows this in his post. He was clearly saying that there were ways to prevent this from happening.

Anyway, I decided to take him up on his service early. I mentioned to another user this and that it was safe at the start. I strongly advised him against doing it, because he was thinking of, he ended up not doing it. I thought of this as some sort of pyramid scheme, where he had a nice cash pile to start to make it look more legit. I thought that once he got a hold of enough RSGP, he would run off. Until I saw him returning most of the 1B he had from people.

I found it odd how he wanted people to trust him with more. He told me and it looked like he expected me to invest a bigger amount with him. He told me yesterday if I wanted to invest 200M with him again. I politely declined and told him the truth, that I had next to no cash on hand.

Just about everyone, except 1 person, posted asking him a question. That showed that everyone was interested, but they still wanted to be safer by asking questions and/or posting on the thread, which they did. Now, if they were all PMed, along with everyone else who would post, a lot could have been prevented. I'm not saying it all could have, but quite a bit could have been prevented.

He also posts the names of people that lend him money. He posts a confirmation immediately after receiving the GP. He also puts on frequent updates on how much he is staking for every user that's invested in him.

Then again, he could be suspicious and aware that something is going on, when people starts pulling out from him. But I'd doubt he would have ran away with the remaining RSGP when only a few hundred mil is left, from the initial 1B. If he did run away, at least we prevented the worse from happening (What happened).

We aren't sure if he was ready to run away with a temp ban anyway. Since he waited till he was supposed to be unbanned before, but then again he didn't have 1B of people's RSGP on him:
    http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1341323&highlight=Novorites

Why was he unbanned after this anyway?

It doesn't matter if his intentions were good this time or however many people he had helped and made profit for this time.

The fact of the matter is that he is a ban evader.

He has no right to come back to the forum without making a High Pardon or a Ban Dispute. Just like all of the other people banned.

He broke two, not one, major rules of the forum and that are punishable by a permanent ban for life. Nobody should even trust him with 1gp considering he is a scammer + ban evader.

    I'm not happy.

This thread is about how it could have been prevented. Or at least lessen the damage.

Nobody knew he was a ban evader. No one did a background check on him, and even if they did, all I saw was him evading on a new account to post that he was supposed to be unbanned and he posted about 8 times in the forums with the account he evaded on.

If you've caught so many scammers, you should know this by now. We, the members, have no way of determining whether he is a ban evader or not. We aren't moderators and we cannot do IP checks. Nor did he use his email on any of his past accounts. As you said, you didn't have any proof to back up your claim.

He probably was going to scam eventually. It's most likely that it would have happened. He has been banned for infraction build up before, and either he didn't learn his lesson, or he doesn't care if he gets banned. Because as soon as he does, he'd walk away. Now this could have been why he double posted a lot.

You completely have the wrong end. I do not blame him at all to be honest. I have no reason to believe he was offering anything over than a legit service. I'm not mad at myself for trusting, it was one of the best investments i've ever made with RSGP. If he kept his service open on MSN i'd invest again to be perfectly honest. I'm not mad at anyone. I understand he deserved a ban, I just think it could have been handled better.

And to what I put in bold above. He did give me my money back twice, 30m profit each time. The one he currently has of mine was the third investment. If he was not banned today I would say 100% I'd have my money back + 40m profit.

He was banned for ban evasion because he made some sythe accounts once he had a temp ban for a infraction build up. As far as I know he had not scammed on Sythe. There was another issue about another site of which I do not know about fully and that may have involved scamming.

Everything you have posted has been your missconception of my words or you accussing him of scamming. What im asking is literally why he was banned how he was. That is a question only a mod can answer so I see no reason for you to post again. It will be reported as spam.

I'm not asking for any symaphy at all, I don't want anything back, i'm not a 13 year old child crying about losing some RSGP, i've got a job i'll buy it back if I want it.

If the Mods simply say they had to cut the potential losses there incase he was scamming and trying to get as much rsgp as he can then fair enough. I do understand that. All im saying is that if the reason was simply due to the ban evasion, could it not have been dealt with better, not just to save our money but to stop him having such a high amount of RSGP when he got banned.

i agree on this i dont know why he was not caught earlier.. considering he had such a huge service im not really going to rage about this incident but i doubt i will trust users who are even vouched from now on.

Also, just got round to reading the rest of your post as quite honestly it bored me when I first glanced over it.

Green- Your proof? He seemed legit, he was paying out big amounts, and im sure making a nice profit by taking his percentage as agreed. You acting like he did scam in his staking service, which he did not. He paid out every single gp plus profit. Until the ban issue currently of course.

Red- He deceived us by running a service that you can not prove to be anything but legit?
The ban evasion was not the main reason of the ban im pretty sure, it was simply as he was temped on one account and made another. The main issue is the PowerBot thing.

Blue- Lol, what? Why is this lie even written? And out of the two of us, your the only one that has has a banned symbol under their name.

Orange- Trusted people put their trust in him yes, and it paid off. Yes seeing people like R2Pleasent trusting him may have made new people not but he had every right to do so, there is nothing to say that this service was a scam.

EDIT: Can I request a lock on this thread before it becomes way to off topic and is just a childish argument. One firm response from a mod is all that is needed and this can be sent to the grave.

Rules are rules, and you can't tip toe around that fact. If he hadn't been banned now he would have gotten even more money. You can't be mad at the mods for doing their job, which is to catch and ban people who have broken the rule whether they are legit or not. Ban evading is the same if you ban evade to post a question or if you ban evade to scam someone. Most mods have public MSNs that you can contact them on if you need to ask a question, and it is common sense to know that if you are banned it isn't right to come back on another account. If that were the case then you could just run through accounts.

I'm not mad at a single person to do with this. I don't blame the mods if they did what they had to do. Sometimes things have to happen in certain ways and that's just how it is. I'm simply asking this time was there an alternative.

Someone was going to get scammed inevitably. I'm sorry that it was you but in all seriousness, please stop whining. It happens to many people for much more. You knew the risks when you gave him your money. Be mature, learn from your mistakes, and stop blaming others for your problems.

Read through the posts. He was wondering if there was a better approach. This approach costed people hundreds of millions. If you read through, there may have been a way to prevent such a big loss, it would have at least lowered the amount scammed and lost.

It looks like Rules wants a moderator to admit their mistake, or point out the other possible alternative that was not done. He isn't mad because he lost RSGP. But you have to keep in mind that moderators have been doing the same thing for a long time. And an alternative simply did not go through their mind.

I think this thread is good feedback to show mods that they could help even more if they thought of alternatives. Rarely would you need an alternative for a case.

How would a mod approach this if they invested their RSGP in Novorites? They would surely find a method to get it back, to at least minimize losses.

    I'm not happy.

I was alerted via PM about him....he is banned at least 2 times on powerban, 5+ times on sythe. I dug up 5+ Sythe accounts and havent even done ip checks yet.

He was banned for lying in his pardon, he admitted to evasion once, not 4 times and original ban was for fake vouching.

I hammer liars and will continue to. Whatever they are buying, selling, services etc etc is irrelevant. Sorry for anyone who does lose stuff but I have 0% control over that.

All questions about this ban/situation should only be directed towards myself.

    Thanks
