Why you shouldn't alch.

I see many people telling others to alch. It's a terrible method. Don't do it. If you want to know why, watch this video.

 

Superheating requires much more effort in terms of mouse movement etc. You can high alch for days on end by using mouse keys and just tapping "5" repeatedly on the number pad. Superheat you have to bank, withdraw, heat, move mouse, bank again, etc.

Plank make requires lunar, and you need to have a large supply of mahogany logs to use it effectively. Also 86 mage. Mahogany logs have risen over 200% in the past 6 months, so don't count on this being profitable for very long either.

As for stun, I'm not sure.

There is a reason that so many people alch, and it's not because they're all stupid.

Also this video failed to include bolt enchanting, which is actually my preferred method of mage training

 

Because they bot.

Anyways, string jewellery is more afk than alching.

For afk: String Jewellery
For there: make hunter kits/superheat/plank make.

When I ached I made my own bot (not really a bot as all it did was click) hovered my mouse over the alch spell and put the items just under the spell and then I walked off. It requires minimal efforts to alch, anyone who alches is more than likely using a program.

That is very unlikely...the reason I think that so many people alch, is because they are unaware of more effective methods...

It is a highly accepted "fact" that alching is the best magic exp in the game...

 

I think most people who alch do it because they can not pay attention, while with superheating and other methods you have to. It follows from this that most people who alch don't bot, because those who do have bots can superheat, which is similar/faster exp and also a lot less money lost.

I did 150k Camelot teleports from like 84-99 hah, slightly faster than alching and only 1 click!

 

I alch because it's simple..

 

This is stupid. Video pretty much summed up why high alchemy is still such a common method of training. The fact that it requires absolute minimal attention is just fantastic, as you can lie on the couch and watch movies while only having to rhythmically push your finger down on the "5" key ever few seconds.

^ Yep same, and its so easy to bot...Yew longs in the inventory spot right under your high alch spell. SW+Any simple autoclicker set to 1 second intervals. Soaking up all the double xp as we speak, and im at work!
