Not trying to slag off the assigned moderators, but it's been like 2 days on some of my reports and I don't think it's right that people can walse in and ignore the rules, and not have their threads locked in a timely manor - afterall most are probably scammers. Reported like 10+ posts/threads that all need locking/infracting. Maybe the report system isn't working...?

Not been active on this forum til recently, but if that's usual then maybe you should consider recruiting more staffs because even 6 hours, nevermind 24-48h is a long time to get away with advertising, linking viruses or any kind of rulebreaking; based on a blatant assumption.

Reporting system is working fine. The Market Mods try their best to do what they can when they can, but remember they do have busy lives as we do. They can't be on 24/7.

Yeah I understand that, like I said I'm not having a go at the moderation team, but it's a problem nonetheless, or I believe it is.

There's currently 9 pages of spam reports and counting, if I had perms in the Market I would go and make a start on them now. They will get to them when they have the time, it's quite common for spam reports to suddenly rise up out of nowhere. They should all get seen to within the next 24-48 hours.

You mean to say that it's quite common for rulebreakers to "suddenly rise up out of nowhere". :p Definately a problem!

haha, I meant it's normal for there to be a sudden mass amount of spam reports. They should all go down soon, the spam report section was completely empty yesterday, so it goes up and down.

Yeah I understand. I just don't like seeing so many people breaking the rules and being so ignorant of it. I know most of the people that do it are the scammers too, they don't fool me, but hate seeing them scam other members tbh. Guess I'll just keep posting on threads til people listen or get infracted/locked :p

Well I wish I could help the spam reports out but I'm only on an iPhone. I try to do a page or so at a time. You can't think if you report something it will be handled instantly.

Don't think you read my post properly, I was referring to ones that were like 48 hours old, not ones I'd just reported o.0 Slight exaggeration there.. ha. Kinda looking at it in the wrong way, it's not for my own good, it's in everyone's interest that rule breakers get served asap. Just a suggestion for the good of the forum, I think everyone would agree that even 24 hours is a bit long. I never said people were on 24/7 people be putting words into my mouth :(

FYI Punjab has got through some of earlier ones now :)

Well you make it seem. 90% of my modding is done from my iPhone. Market mods get swamped with reports. Usually other mods come in and infract or change titles I believe. I've seen spam reports build up for weeks. I'm sure if laptop asked he could get perms for market in a month.

What exactly is this supposed to do? This really won't make the moderators work any faster, they will get to the reports when they can.

Well considering that this is the feedback section he is providing feedback for a problem that he sees as important. Mods have lives, but it is important that the reports get done so they don't all of a sudden jump up to 9 pages. If you let them build up then it is going to be harder to get through, and if it were me it would become demoralizing to see several pages of spam reports. You guys are doing good work, so keep it up.

Yeah, but don't you think the moderators realize that? It really doesn't do anything, except inform them of an issue they already realize. Of course the moderators have lives, that is why they'll get to the reports soon, and this shouldn't be an issue.

Wulfspade1, I feel that you're too harsh on him. I do understand that moderators have real lives, and a 48 hour delay is reasonable. However, anything over 2 days is a little inadequate because when you think about it, dealing with the reports is potentially removing thieves, who damage Sythe.

And in any business, the customer is king, not the staff. Yes, the staff do need to be respected for their dedication, but it is important to remember that it is the regular members who donate out of satisfaction and keep the site running.

There are things that could be done to speed it up. Don't forget that this is the feedback forum; a forum for expressing any positive or negative experiences on/with Sythe. It doesn't "supposed" to do anything. . It's an important issue on Sythe, and it is naive to say "Oh it's impossible to fix this, let's just be lazy and say it's always gonna take days to infract people" Could we be at least a little more constructive and not ignore the fact that it's kinda an issue.

Really? Well, I apologize if I sounded harsh, I wasn't trying to be. You have to understand that the moderators are trying to clean up the spam reports, I'm sure they will all be done soon. Actually, most of the spam reports are just regular spam. The "thieves" will be predominately in scammer reports.

Why exactly are you telling me that? The moderators are trying to clean up the spam reports; I'm sure they will be done soon, don't worry.

Not really, what can be done to "speed it up?" Yeah, I encourage all types of feedback, I don't mind if it's positive or negative. Huh, when did I saw anything about the issue being "impossible to fix," "let's be lazy," etc. I'm not trying to ignore the fact that it is an issue, I'm saying that the moderators are aware, and they ARE working to fix it. Feel free to make feedback threads if you want, I'm just saying that the reports will be done soon.

The staff pay equal amounts of attention to each spam report. If you report something for spam, a moderator will get to it as soon as they can. There is nothing you can do to change that process, and frankly there is nothing wrong with it. The Market forum probably receives the most attention from moderators in the first place, and besides waiting a day or two isn't going to hurt anyone that much. Plus the user who broke the rule will be infracted, which serves as enough punishment/warning.

TL;DR The system works fine, be patient, the staff have a lot of work.

Better planning or more mods are the first thing that should crop to anyone's mind; Common sense really. I'll assume that not all the market mods are the same timezone, that wouldn't be terribly feasible. But yeah, I guess it's a lot easier to live in a world where everything is impossible. :p Also you seem to be ignoring the point. Soon in relation to when an infraction is made, or now?

No, it just means the moderators are a bit busy; don't worry, it'll be taken care of. Actually, since moderators are in different timezones, it's a food thing because they can cover the members we have living in different places. What exactly am I missing? Huh, I mean as soon as they can get to the report, it might be now, or later.
