Just letting everyone know that I haven't abandoned this. I'm going to release a fix for the world map, and a partial fix for the instant lookup soon. The reason I've been slow to update the instant lookup is that Jagex is trying to break OCRs right now, and I don't have the time to fix it every time they change it.

A temporary workaround for the world map is to save the world map to this path %TEMP%\QuantumKitTemp\RuneScape\world_map. Make sure the name is a perfect match, with no extension after the name, otherwise it wont work.



I have also been working on completely rewriting Quantum Kit. The first Quantum Kit has been a little hard to maintain for the past few months, so I've decided to rebuild it from scratch. The core of it is almost complete, so it's mostly writing the tools for it now.

Here are a few of the planned changes:

• Built on top of .NET 4.5
  .NET 4.5 makes it a lot easier to write asynchronous code (this means that the client shouldn't lock up) and makes it easier to do a lot of various things, like plugins.
  However, it also means, Windows XP and Vista will no longer be supported (blame Microsoft).
• Support for plugins
  I plan on adding support for custom plugins. Plugins will work with the auto updater, use hotkeys and work with the instant lookup easily.
• Crash Recovery
  When Quantum Kit 2 crashes, it will be able to recover much more gracefully. Usually just by restarting instantly, and taking you back where you were before.
• Reworked Grand Exchange search
  The Grand Exchange tool is now more compact, gives exact prices, and will get the price graphs.
  
• New RuneScape start page
  Before you start up RuneScape, it will now show you which of your friends are online, show you any pending Grand Exchange offers and what tasks are available.
  
  (This UI isn't complete. The friends list is fake, and the Grand Exchange and News info havn't been added yet.)
• Map for Dungeoneering
  I will be adding in a map for the dungeoneering helper to help you remember where you put your gatestone and where certain doors are. I'm also planning on making it generate the map from taking screenshots from the map in the game, instead of having to manually build the map.

I am currently planning on releasing a limited preview later this month to get feedback on some of the tools. The preview will be very limited and I don't recommend playing RuneScape in it, as it may not be very stable.

I just released an update. The instant lookup is partially fixed now. You can now middle click anything in a menu to look it up. It may screw up on players with titles in front of their name though.


Also, just an update on a change coming in QK 2.


You can now have the tools docked, and side by side when docked.

I just updated to 0.2.7.14. I replaced Imageshack with Imgur, and fixed the spelling mistake.

Why the move from Imageshack though? It's very easy to bypass their need to registration.

hate the delay with the auto typer, 5 seconds.
after a while it doesn't react that fast anymore and then it takes 5 mins+ till it actually passes the 5 seconds, the quick auto typer types the sentence instantly, but doesn't say it (doesn't press enter).
look-up looks the stats up in the dung tab not in the highscore tab...
and sometimes it doesn't give a reaction and then I have to restart it.
though it's a really nice tool.
