What 3 things do you believe are gifts.

Well this topic kinda leans towards those of us who believe in a God/Creator, Not that I have anything against Athiests or similar beliefs. Of course anyone is welcome to post here.

I would like to know what you people percieve as "Gifts" of life, That is apart from life itself. And when I mean gift im referring to things that just dont seem to have a meaning/purpose but we as humans for some reason love! The purpose here is for me to gain more insight on why these things exist and the purpose they serve.

Well to me I think that Music is just a wonder.. Who could have ever though a bunch of sounds could be so amazing. What do you guys think makes our brain love it? I mean there are alot of songs that when i listen to them I will recieve a euphoric feeling, Just like a drug...Of course without the comedown/hangover. Im not sure what purpose it serves, but i know that our bodies will Sync with it..like out heart rate and other factors.

Orgasm..heh well we know why, I want to hear from you guys.

*Again, I just wanted to remind that this isnt intended to be an argument or debate. If you think we came from a retarded fish frog, Monkey's or a God/Gods/Creator.. All the same, Thats not really what im aiming at. Just the Bonus features we are supplied in the game of life.

Drugs (Ie Fungus,MaryJane,Dmy..peyote..ect..ect) Our bodies are made to accept these.. I am a firm believe that there is a shit ton more to them than what alot of people think like just getting messed up. I actually give thanks to a Psychonautical experience for my current view and beliefs in life. This experiece was well over 4 years ago and is still strong in my memory..simply blissful

 

First off, I don't view life as a gift. Its a process in which a species continues its existence.

Education- The gift of knowledge and to be educated. For if we weren't smart we wouldn't live in this type of world, and the fact that we educate our young makes it so we can continue living this lifestyle of gains and luxury.

Drugs- Expand the mind, and relax and comfort. Many great minds were under the influence and have gave way to some of the top breakthroughs of the century (don't believe me look it up)

Government- the fact that we are self governing and not (thank god) like the other coney's and other places who are conflictual with their own people. Right now our government may not be perfect, but some day when we become more advanced our government will be a utopia of what is and isn't right and shall govern all that live.

 

Glad you posted that Fresh, You education entry reminded me of something I was pondering earlier.

I was thinking that maybe in a way Education in a weird way could lead to our end. We get so smart that less and less people die, More people = more food/resources. Do you think that there is a balance that needs to me met? Or are we meant to be self-destructive? Since we are so smart its the only way to end our Species life cycle? just a though, I know it doesent make much sense..but thats how it usually goes.. I need to carry a notepad

 

While education is teaching people better qualities of life, and life preservation, you forget education is what brought on various anti-life inventions such as the Atomic Bomb, and there is also alot of speculation that AIDS and perhaps cancer are man-made. The origin of AIDS/HIV has been disputed.

Music- as youve stated. Its amazing how your mind can interpret it and how some music can activate your mind and make you feel a certain way.

The human mind- It also fascinates me how our mind works and how much potential we have and what we can do as a human race together. The possibilities are endless. The wold we live in today is a perfect example.

Nature- How animals and plants are born with instinct and a genetic code of already knowing what to do without being taught or instructed.

The gift of being healthy- i feel so bad and sorry for people who were born or have physical problems

Sociability.
Currency.
Drugs.
Females.
More then 3, but are really truly gifts in my life.

Life, it is and will always be something special.

Love, being loved and loving is something special, to me this really defines the meaning of life.

Talent, something that everyone has, yet differs from person to person.
