Hey, this is the VERY FIRST thing I've EVER made as far as GFX goes, and I think it's pretty good for a first effort. It was a banner for a friend's RSPS. I'd like any constructive feedback and what you all would do differently just to help my learning process.

Here's what I came up with:

And here are my previous drafts before coming up with ^that final product (top is newest, bottom is first draft):

Thanks in advance to any helpful feedback!

Good! I didn't even know how to outline text or surround it with a glow for quite a while, but then again, I don't use PhotoShop lol. For a favor done for a friend, it's nice, but if you'd even think about designing these professionally, it obviously takes more than specificfic text placement for the banner to even be glanced at/considered special. As the saying goes, practice makes perfect :)

    Thanks for your feedback!

Haha, I know, I wouldn't open a GFX shop or anything, as this obviously isn't even close to good enough. This is just my first experiments, going to watch some tuts and get better with PS.

It's cool and wel done for your first, but could do with some background effects to add substance.

What sort of background effects? Not sure I know how to do that, or even what you mean. xD

Like the bottom of your signature, some explosion type c4d effects could do. Also you might want to pick only one signature, as two are too tall together.

I don't have c4d, so I'm not sure how I would do that. Is there a way to get it free? ;s
