    Quick Buffer Question

Hey guys. Was just wondering whether anyone could help me out with a chem question.

"Aqueous solutions of acetic acid contain both an acid and a base. Can the acetic acid solution alone be considered a buffer?"

If anyone could give me some information on both this, and how conj. pairs actually work it would be very appreciated.

    Quick Buffer Question

Buffers are things that prevent the pH of a substance from changing or keeping it close to neutral or what it needs to be to function.
