PS3 Gaming

I think it should be a good idea introducing PS3 Gaming section, because many of us [ not as much as xBox ] have PSN and would like to share our gaming talents, discussion and PS3 marketplace, :idea:

I just don't think that the PS3 community on this site is strong enough to justify adding a new section for it. You can discuss PS3 related things here: http://sythe.org/forumdisplay.php?f=231 but I can't support adding a whole new section, sorry.

 

There wouldn't be enough users using it, if they thought it would have been productive, they would have made it when they made the xbox section.

 

Same goes for me, I can't see it being active enough to warrant it's own section. Like x339 said, your more than welcome to discuss anything gaming related in the other games section, http://sythe.org/forumdisplay.php?f=231 or in xbox gaming, http://sythe.org/forumdisplay.php?f=597

 

well, I think everyone deserves a change, maybe we cannot be as big as xBox but we can still have our community

 

You can discuss PS3 related things in the section I posted earlier. If the PS3 community on this site becomes big enough I am sure there will be no problem adding a new section, but until then you will have to make due with what we have.

There's not even the slightest enough activity for PS3 gaming to have it's own section, yet. If it does increase then I don't see a problem. But for now, Console Gaming is the section to use.

 

Xbox > PS3. Hardly anyone talks about PS3s on here, just keep it to "console gaming".

 

Consider the fact that it's not active enough simply because it doesn't have it's own section?

 

I still don't see why the Xbox section got it's own section, with 3 subsections.

When I reopened my ps3 contest I deleted the member list, since then it's swelled to more members than Quatakai's contest in 2-3 days less.

It's active based on how you advertise it. Both Xbox and PS3 should of been in the console section as sub-sections, or just as the console section, due to the fact that 90% of the games are the same.

 

Xbox only just recently got its own section, and thats only because it was more active than PS3. It isn't something new, its always been that way. If PS3 was as active as Xbox it would have received its own section as well.

 

Here's an example of RuneScape and World of Warcraft. Just because WoW is more popular than RuneScape, does it mean it will have a section with more activity? Nope. PS3 doesn't show much activity here. The Xbox section was highly demanded, so it was implemented. Just because people joined the PS3 contest, that doesn't mean it's going to be an active section. A LoL section was highly wanted, but it's very it's very inactive. Unless PS3 can show a HIGH amount of activity, I doubt it's going to be considered.

 

Yes it did, so what happens when it's not the latest news? It will most likely die down.

Also I just want to mention the entire (yes, every thread) in XBOX Screenshots and Videos section is filled with multi platform games, This makes it a pointless subsection.

I'm not saying I want a ps3 section, I don't. I just think that because of the small difference in games between the consoles, xbox should of never been parted from the console section.

 

Just because a game is multi platform doesn't mean it would fit well in both a PS3 and Xbox section. For example COD is on every console, but there are separate clans, groups, glitches, etc. for each different console. So while they may be the same games, the discussions could vary.

 

Maybe, but because it's screenshots and videos clan's arnt a factor.

PS3 also has a descent community, and should be given at least a ps3 discussion forums

 

I'd say PS3 would deserve a community discussion forum, but a marketplace would be largely unused considering the online play is free. (A lot of xbox sales are for xbl)

 

That doesn't matter, it won't mean the section would be necessarily active. If a PS3 section wants to be considered, it should have a lot of activity, and it doesn't have that. This is coming from a PS3 user, I don't even own an Xbox.
