Is there a trick to this? Lol I always get garbage. Like not even lamps usually the 50gp. Has anyone gotten anything worth wild or is this a huge waste of time. lol

 

Waste of time tbh, I'm using 3-5 accounts/day and best item I've got so far is rune platebody.

 

It's random. You aren't supposed to get good stuff every time. It's just for fun, and an incentive for non-mems to buy membership.

There are no tricks, it's all about luck. The best items I've gotten so far are experience lamps (1 large, 3 mediums and a small). Other than that, a few bronze daggers, some coins and so on. I have to admit though, it's a bit of fun and is a little addicting (kind of like scratch tickets).

 

I mean I like the idea of it but I've gotten 1 medium lamp. Best reward. I've used both of my tied all but one day since it came out. If it's anything like getting a good drop from a monster I'll never get anything.

 

The wheel of fortune is just based on luck. It is designed to keep players logging in every day.

Don't deny that you log in at the same time every day to give it a spin

Pretty fun and addicting though, I don't see anything wrong with it either, sure it's giving some hard earned items away to people if their lucky, but it's not like they can make money out of them, and they loose them when they die anyway(if their not protected that is.)

I've only gotten a medium lamp, came close to dragon claws, but it jumped one more space at the last moment.

 

I'm always excited to play, yet i'm always disappointed with my prize lol. Soon i'm going to say screw it. Its just getting annoying now discarding all the crap I am winning.

 

I haven't gotten anything good yet, worst update ever. I want those damn D claws, or at least a lamp. >.<

 

Got quite a few lamps (medium at best) when it first came out. Been on a string crap last few days. I don't really care about getting the high end gear, I'm more than happy with free lamps

 

Ive gotten tons of medium and small lamps, but the best item I've gotten so far was a rune battle-ax

 

I've done about 200 spins now with nothing more than uncommon rewards.

 

Does it even matter at what point exactly you click it? Or is it random every time?

It's random from what I've figured out with my testing.

 

the wheel uses an mathematical algorithm that determines a set of numbers known as outcomes based on another set of numbers that acts as a probability factor that ultimately determines what you get from the wheel.
The probability factor has likely been calculator in such a way that 1 out of every 100,1000,10000 players get a determining factor, that grants them a worthwhile prize, like a rune platebody or 10m cash.
In other words, the chance that you get a worthwhile prize is quite unlikely based on the amount of total players in the game on RS2
