I don't play anymore, but I see it when I bot and it looks pretty cool. I have no idea what people are really wearing anymore, but I'm sure that if I actually played I'd have no problem figuring it out.

 

I like them too, althought I miss Infinity boots look on my mage tank .

If ya want too see the last Classic-Arm in-game you can go check out the Black Knights before they ruin them too. :/

 

A few items looks really good, the majority look pretty horrible. The worst so far seem to be rune & dragon armour, they both look like power ranger suits. A few items need 'tweaks' done to them as well, such as the bandos tassets. BCP looks sweet though.

Its unfortunate though as all the lower level/F2P armours look so awesome - iron, steel, black etc.

 

I personally think the new armor looks great. The game was long overdue for armor reworks. Some people don't like change I suppose. Everyone wants Jagex to update the game and when they do everyone complains. People are never satisfied.

 

Is it just me or did it make the fps go lower too.

 

My FPS hasn't been affected at all.

 

I think people are just angry with the fact Jagex's priorities are so messed up, and that they "update" alot of things that don't need updates in the first place. After Andrew and Paul left Jagex's board of directors, it has been extremely obvious that their business revenue and roping players in to paying to play is much more important than the actual quality of gameplay, and including players in the process of change.

It would be amazing if they listened to their player base and made changes based on people's requests or feedback, and if they prioritized major updates first, like working on the game engine, improving FPS and lag, reworking areas of the game that need a MAJOR fix (random example, the ridiculous amount of PJ'ing that goes on in the wilderness that could be fixed with a simple timer during fights that does not allow you to butt in on somebody elses fight).

These graphical updates were apparantly requested and approved by players, but in reality that was just a very small handful of players who attended Runefest. There are millions of other people out there who have varying opinions about things, and in my opinion I think Jagex should gain some feedback and perspective before they go changing things that don't really need changing, such as tons of the armour sets that they reworked today.

 

I agree, perhaps the update was unnecessary, but I wouldn't say it's unwelcome. I'm just happy to see that the content is still being improved. I believe a lot of players wanted a graphical update. It might not appear that way browsing the forums, just because there is a large group of players opposing the change doesn't make them the majority. They are just the most vocal about their opinions, most people happy with the change are just that, happy. Nothing to post on the forums about but they'll continue to play quite contently.

 

I do applaud Jagex in their effort to update things and make the game look nicer, like the Tree Gnome Stronghold graphical update that has pretty much been swept under the rug because of the whole armour update controversy. I went there to check it out and I think it looks great.

My main issue with these updates though, and I think I speak for alot of players when I say this, is the fact that we are not really involved in the process of change.

I think if Jagex made a bigger effort to include players in these changes, especially the old veterans who have been playing for ages and don't necessarily want things to change, then I think the response would be much more positive, and the updates more likely to be widely embraced.

Change is inevitable in the world. It cannot be avoided. However, Runescape is a game and there should be a degree of control over the changes that the players maintain. Jagex merely updates the game and sits back and collect their paycheques, but we are the people who actually PLAY the game. I think it would really go a long, long way on Jagex's part to try and include players in the development process as much as possible

 

It actually looks fucking awesome. hell yeah./

 

Wish they would update the weapons as well at the same time, but I like the look of the armours now.

Love most graphical updates, make the game look a lot better.

 

This update must just be the last straw before I quit runescape. I have been an active player for 5 years. How dare they change the most original armor in the game "rune".

I can't even distinguish any of armors in the game because of this update. If there is a recall/referendum like what happened to the wilderness in willing to spend as much time as I have.

 

Well they completely fucked infinity, they fucked up bandos kind of too.
