Why you do drugs?

Used to do quite a bit in middle school, mostly cocaine. Some leading into high school.

Then I smoked weed until about a year ago when I joined the Marines.

Cocaine was by far my favorite, but the cons outweighed it for me.

Tried MDMA, Dmt, salvia(legal but still a drug), Pharm Meth, and the nonsense ecstacy people do nowadays.

 

I smoke weed because I enjoy the way it makes me feel. Anything else I do just for the thrill. Sometimes you just get that urge to do cocaine, ya know?

 

I don’t smoke and drugs either.

 

All these people smoking sh*t trying to be cool. It aint. Everytime i go to a open event or a party where theres young teens around i see these youngin's doing stupid things involving drugs.. they dont have a clue what they're getting into.

 

I don't do it often. But Sometimes, I need stress release

 

I drink alcohol for the social advantages

 

Yes, we have seen your opinion and people are telling why it can't be that or shouldn't. That is why this is a discussion, it goes both ways. If you post your opinion you should already be prepared for someone to either agree with you or make a rebuttal, you shouldn't get mad at someone because they disagree or invalidate your opinion with facts.

OP: I have never used any illicit drugs but I have taken some prescription medications more than the prescribed amount. I don't really remember why I think I was depressed and wanted a high or I was just already high off of the drugs and just took more without thinking. It was vikaden (don't know how to spell it) and I was like 12 years old so it really messed me up. I was prescribed it because I just had oral surgery, they had to cut my upper gum open because I had an impacted tooth.

EDIT: I had drinked/drunk alcohol before but I just don't really like to, I've seen what it's done to some others in my family and I just don't want to go there. It helps that I don't like the taste nor drink anything carbonated (I don't even drink soda).

 

It helps my depression, insomnia and Ad-hd. Plus it feels great.

 

I smoke weed like twice a month, I do it just because it feels good, and helps me relieve stress.

I like to experiment. Although if a drug is obviously harmful, I wouldn't do it.

 

I've done my fair share of drugs, but I try not to make a habit of it, because that never benefits anyone in the long run.
Personally, I experiment with drugs for a lot of reasons, firstly because I'm curious to what the feel of it will be like, secondly, just because to say that I've experienced it.
I've rolled (MDMA(X), tripped on multiple things (LSD, Mushrooms, DMT), pharmaceuticals (Oxy's, Roxy's, Vicodin, Percocet's and Xanax), and till this day I recreationaly smoke weed, smoke cigarette's and drink alcohol.

 

I have smoked tons of weed, shot deleaudids through a 5/8 28 gauge syringe but now I occasionally slam a decent amount of OC, although they're taking it off the market and replacing it with new gel releasing pills which don't allow you to rail it or shoot it.. I just like to have fun and drugs feel a lot better then alcohol, but of course that comes with large risks.

 

I have smoked Marijuana and Taken Ecstasy (Molly) before. Might be taking DMT this weekend to experience the effects of a psychedelic. The psychedelic would be for me to understand my self better and people in general hopefully, not for pure pleasure that's what party drugs are for (mdma).

I only do ecstasy once ever 3-4 months at a concert or fun rave-like event.
Also TBH i don't really even enjoy weed, I could smoke it everyday but i choose to limit it to around twice a month socially. Weed makes Friday nights funner not school nights.

 

Used to smoke weed regularly for about a year with a group of friends, then realized all the trouble is not really worth it.

 

I drink alcohol anywhere between 1-5 times a month, smoke weed around once a week and have taken ecstasy twice so far. I like using these drugs as they are all really fun to do especially out partying and I am always happy when under the influence.

 

I don't do drugs and never will. Only one time have i ever put a cigarette in my mouth, it was when I was about 3 years old and I can still remember it.

My uncle used to smoke (he doesn't anymore) every single day. One day when he was smoking he through a cigarette on the ground and it was still lit.
Since I was so little and I had watched him do it all the time, I crawled over to the cigarette and put it in my mouth. It tasted like shit and I spit it out.
That is the only thing I have ever done that has anything to do with druhs and since I hated it so much I know I will never do any sort of drug.

 

I smoked weed one day for fun. Literally no other reason. I was at my friends house before final exans and we were both exempt from all exams except woodshop haha, so i decided to try it. Since then i do it only if someone has it with them and i dont have to pat haha. Drinking is a whole diffrent story and i took hydrocodone one time cause i was perscribed ir. I just took 2 extras and it was nice. Haha. But i only do it to enhance, like , social stuff haha.

 

The perspective on the word "drug" is generally misinformed... We take drugs every day.. Caffeine, nicotine, acetaminophen, dxm, alcohol, thc, etc...

Marijuana is a drug.. Alcohol is a drug..

You can specify which groupings of substances you don't take. But it's misleading to say I smoke pot smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol but don't do drugs...
